With the warmer weather finally creeping in, it's time to switch out the heavier, fuller coverage foundations for something a little lighter. I'll admit that I was pretty quick to switch mine and have been wearing BB creams and light foundations since late March. That said, if you haven't made the switch or are in need of something new The Body Shop has some great new additions with their All-in-One Instablur 5-Action Perfector, All-in-One BB Cream, and Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream.

There is just something about a row of colour coordinated- or rainbow, can't beat rainbow either- items all in a row. I get slightly giddy at the sight, so you can see why I had a little bit too much fun with the newest additions to the Mary Kay At Play Collection- the Triple Layer Tinted Balm. With the layers of colour all cute in their white tubes... I'm getting ahead of myself, read on!

I'm hair stupid. It's a sad truth, but it is just that- truth. I've got everything else figured out; well, for the most part, but when it comes to hair I'm still on the bunny hill. But, I have definitely upped my game in the past few months, as I've been bombarded with new hair products and took that as a sign. Plus, I got a pretty good chunk of hair cut off and there is nothing more motivating than a fresh cut. Anyhow, a product that I have really been enjoying is mark. This is Big Body Building Mousse.

Today was not my day, in terms of blogging... It started off well enough, as I was de-cluttering my desk and working out a bit of a schedule but it went downhill from there. I couldn't find my memory card, so I opened a new one. I wouldn't work in my camera (odd, right?) Searched and found the missing one. I started to take photos only for my camera battery to die. You'd think after a few years I'd have a backup now. When it came to swatching the lovelies in this post- China Glaze Sand Dolla Make You Holla and Orly Flawless Flush- things weren't any better as I nicked my nails not once, or twice, but three times. I got it right, eventually.

For fellow bloggers, do you ever take a batch of photos, only to start editing them and find that they kind of... well, suck? Every now and then I find myself in that situation. Sometimes I re-do everything and sometimes I don't. This post is an example of the latter. Oh well. The content is pretty good though, as I have a few really fun designs of Broadway Nails imPress Press-on Manicure. Read on!

Nail post number two on Unofficial Nail Thursday, is a collection I was surprisingly looking forward to. I say surprising because I'm not a Coke drinker. I fall on the other side of the spectrum and am a Pepsi person- and don't even try and tell me it's the same thing. Anyway, the idea of a Coke inspired collection is cute and if anybody is going to do it right it's going to OPI. Read on for swatches of Sorry I'm Fizzy Today, A Grape Affair and Orange You Fantastic! from the Coca-Cola by OPI Collection.
It's unofficially Nail Thursday! Okay, that's not really a thing- but it could be...- but today happens to bring us two nail related posts. First up, a few gorgeous Crystal Glass Nail Files from Mont Bleu and a few extra goodies too. Read on!

Did you read this post- this one here- If you didn't, go read it. And enter the giveaway. If you did, then you know I get really excited about anything with my name on it. That said, it's easy fathom how excited I was when I was given the opportunity to review a custom piece from Onecklace. I opted for the Sterling Silver Curly Split Chain Monogram Necklace as I'm having a 'thing' with monograms.

Happy- if you're Canadian, holiday- Monday! I was up particularly early today and thought it only seemed fitting to do a little administrative work- emails pile up mighty quickly- and get to a little blogging. I recently was sent a few new EcoTools products, and one of which as the very neat Pure Complexion Facial Sponge for Sensitive Skin. Read on for more info!

It's been a long time since I was excited about a MAC collection, and the first time I actually put effort into getting what I wanted. You know how it goes, if you're not online as soon as the collection launches you miss out. Normally I don't bother too much trying to get first dibs, but the Alluring Aquatic Collection was too stunning to pass up. Read on for a closer look!

Every time I have to post a product with the word 'colour' in the name I have an internal debate over how to spell it. As a non-American, colour spelled sans 'u' just looks wrong to my Canadian eyes, but my demographics inform me there are more of you Yanky-doodle-dandies than us hockey-loving-syrup- suckers reading- and no, it is not Kosher to use that term unless you are one- so you can see the struggle is real. In the case of today's post, featuring Revlon ColourStay ShadowLinks, the 'u' stays. Read on!

I remember a time not so long ago, when skincare products all boasted their oil-free status. Everything had to be oil free because oil was bad. Oil was the worst. It would break you out and make you oily. Oh, how things have changed though... Which brings us these cute little bottles from Trusted Health Products which contain that marvelous liquid that was once so hated in the form of their Beautiful AM Moisturizer and PM Revitalizer. Read on for my review and how you can win 1 of 3 bottles!

They say change can be good for you, and while I don't always agree- hello, change can also be hella scary- unless you're talking Cover FX Pressed Mineral Foundation. In that case I can totally get on board, and that is coming from someone who usually places powder foundations into the hella scary category.

Today has been one dull, grey day, and it's given me a little case of the 'blahs'. But, you know what isn't dull and blah? My skin, thanks to the Yves Rocher White Botanical skincare range- see what I did there? It's true though- this range is perfect for anyone seeking a brighter complexion. Formulated with White Licorice Powder to brighten and reduce dark spots, and White Lupin Extract for it's anti-aging properties the line includes Exceptional Youth Essence, Dark Spot Corrector, Eye Contour and Night Cream.

Seems like I've got an unintentional cleansing theme happening today, but I like it, so let's go! As you can see it's all about the liquid cleansers in this post with two of my current L'Oreal favourites- L'Oreal Sublime Soft Gentle Micellar Solution and L'Oreal Gentle Makeup Remover for Eyes & Lips.
Anyone else find it hard to get excited about cleansers? Of course you need them, but in the end all they really do is clean yo' face, and as long as they clean said face, and don't completely dry it out, it's all dandy. That said, every now and then I do find myself a enamored with a particular cleanser... you know how it is. Lately, it's the Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Lactic Acid Cleanser & Mask that's gold a hold of my skincare loving heart.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms! My Mom are having a movie night and I'm cooking a very Spring appropriate dinner for us- baked salmon with steamed asparagus and roasted rosemary-garlic baby potatoes. And there might just be a little tiramisu for dessert... But of course, there is always a little time to get a blog post in and today brings us two gorgeous neutral palettes from Avon's new Perfect Nude Shades collection of True Colour Eyeshadow Quads. Read on!
The dupe. The dupe can be a glorious thing, can't it? I was reading blogs last week when I spotted Secret Key Sweet Glam Tint Glow mentioned in a roundup of Korean beauty products. It instantly reminded me of Dior Addict Lip Glow because, well it's almost identical. But, is the product inside that pretty package similar? Read on for the lowdown.

Remember the Mary Kay At Play Collection? Yes, no, maybe? Whatever your answer, get excited because they've released new shades to add to their current lineup of Lip Crayons, Eye Crayons, Jelly Lip Gloss and Baked Eye Trios- they're my favourite. Read on for swatches!

With Mother's Day quickly approaching- this Sunday, not the next like I had been thinking- Nivea wants us all to think of mom and our own special mom memories. I think most women can list their mom as their very first beauty influence and have some memory of watching her apply skincare, makeup, fragrance or more specifically Nivea Creme.

Okay, it's still barely Spring, but I have been dreaming of warmer weather thanks to the mark. Saint Barts Soleil Instant Vacation Collection. I'm not even a huge Summer person- I don't like being too hot- but the eau de toilette is Summer perfection in a bottle. Read on!

While Spring is still in the midst of actually springing here, Summer products are slowly emerging, and you know what that means... NEONS! I'll admit that I'm not a devoted neon lover, but they can be totally cute and can make for an amazing Summer pedicure. OPI typically only releases their neons in mini form, but this year they'll be available in full size for the first time ever. Of course, the minis are still on offer in the form of the OPI Little Bits of Neon set which is the perfect way to sample all six shades. Read on for swatches!

I went through a little bit of a foundation crisis. Okay, crisis might be a bit too extreme, but still it happened. I found that the bulk of the foundations in my collection were too dark. I've always fallen somewhere between the lightest and second lightest shade (for most brands) but tend to go with the shade that falls darker as oppose to lighter because it ends up looking more natural. You know? I don't know if it was the unending winter and complete lack of sun, but this already pale-ish blogger got even paler.
I decided I didn't want to spend a whole lot on foundation so I hit up the drugstore and found two that I quite like, but one that has really been quite fab is CoverGirl TruBlend Foundation and what has become it's makeup bag buddy Maybelline Fit Me Concealer.
