The Fast Five | Peachy Vibes

fast five peachy vibes (4)

Last week I woke up with 'Peachy Vibes' in my head. Why? I'm not quite sure, but I liked it and knew what I had to do... A peach themed edition of The Fast Five. I was surprised (and pretty pleased) at how popular the first edition was- catch it here if you missed it. Ready for some full-on, uninhibited, peach lovin'? Read on!

Peach is one of those shades that's pretty hard not to like. It's not quite pink, it's not quite orange, and it tends to suit all. It's a magical thing really. When I was pulling peach products for this post, I was amazed at just how many each polishes reside in my collection- again, how can you not enjoy a peach?

Of the pack it was OPI Chilli' Like a Villain, pale, nude-peach cream, and China Glaze Sun of a Peach, a creamy peach neon, that made the cut.You get the best of both worlds with these shades- a soft, feminine shade that also happens to be office appropriate, and a vivid, bright that's perfect on tips and toes all summer long.

Confession time-I cheated a smidge with this edition of TF5 (as you may have noticed) and added in an extra peachy pick... You see, when it comes to peach blush, I don't think I've ever met one I didn't like. I just couldn't narrow it down to one. One is the cult classic Milani Luminoso Baked Blush which needs little describing- but I will. It's a universally flattering peachy shade with a soft, illuminating sheen that does amazing things to your complexion. My second peach blush must have, Too Faced Papa Don't Peach is sadly, semi-discontinued. I say semi as it has made appearances in sets and palettes, but is not currently available on it's own. It's a shame, because the shade is a gorgeous peachy-bronze that has a luminizing effect on cheeks for a lit-from-within glow. Both blushes give an effortless pop of colour with built in highlighting.

Much like blush, it's almost impossible to not have a few peach lip options. One of my all time favourites for everyday and anytime wear is Revlon Peach Parfait ColourBurst Lip Butter. I totally went overboard when these came out and hoarded almost every shade, but Peach Parfait is on of the few shades I use regularly. It's a deepened pechy-pink shade with golden and tonal shimmer that adds some colour and shine to lips and can be applied sans mirror when on the go.

Eyes are the one category wherein I don't reach for peach all that often, but do have one favourite- MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot. With it's golden-peach shade, this shade is not only stunning- just look at it!- but also a staple for anyone seeking an effortless, quick eye look. A sweep of this on lids, a smudge of deep brown liner, and a few coats of mascara make for a gorgeous, brightened look that only takes seconds to throw on. You're welcome.

Clearly, I enjoy a little peach in my life. Are you a fan? Have any favourite peach products? Do share!
