Burt's Bees Honeymoon Suite Gift Set

Burt's bees honeymoon suite gift set (3)

Mother Nature hates me. I spent my weekend hopping for a little sun to emerge so I could take some pictures, and all I got was threatening skies and a day of rain. All day rain. Today, when things did look decent enough, I grabbed my gear and set up, only to have the sky darken and begin to be pelted with big, slow moving, bursts of rain. I thought it was supposed to be summer? I did get to place my bee hotel though (you'll have to head to my instagram for a peek) in my effort to help the little pollinators that are so vital to life on this amazing (if not rainy) planet of ours. Burt's Bees has made it incredibly easy to help save the bees with their Honeymoon Suite Gift Set, which includes some classic products and sees 100% of proceeds go to Pollinator Partnership Canada. Want a closer look? Read on!

Do you know just how essential bees are? Bees are responsible for more than 80% of our flowering fruits and vegetables (including really important things like chocolate and coffee.) Simply put, no bees means no food, and no food means no us.

Burt's Bees has always been a saviour of bees and worked to educate consumers while providing great body care items. With the current status of bees (aka dire), Burt's Bees has been partnering with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts which have set up 16 uniquely built bee hotels across Canada to protect and house solitary pollinator bees. Oh, let's backtrack a moment, yeah? Not all bees live in hives, although I think that's what most of use think of when we think bee. Solitary pollinators don't live in a hive, yet are major workhorses- they pollinate up to a third of the food we eat. Bee hotels offer a secure, safe area for solitary pollinators to lay their eggs, ensuring the next generation of bees.  For more information on the initiative head here.

Okay, on to what you can do. As mentioned, the purchase of Burt's Bees Honeymoon Suite Collection sees 100% of proceeds go to Pollinator Partnership Canada and their Wild for Bees initiative, while you get a selection of Burt's Bees products. Specifically:

• Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion (25g)
• Hand Salve (8.5g)
• Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream (20g)
• Coconut Foot Cream (20g)
• Beeswax Lip Balm (4.25g)

Overall, this is a great little set that gives back to a great cause. I'm a major fan of the Coconut Foot Cream, but really, everything included is worth the price. It looks like this set is a Canadian exclusive, however the same set is available for purchase in the US as the Essential Burt's Bees Kit, but does not donate proceeds.
