Sephora Loves Skin (... and Brows)

sephora loves skin (2)

I am the least loyal person when it comes to skincare- I'll try just about anything from any brand. One brand that I don't tend to think of though, is Sephora. Did you know just how vast the Sephora Collection skincare range is? If not, check it out, it's pretty sizable. Or, read on to check out a few products I've been using. Yeah, do that first. Read on!

I know. I said skincare, but I just wasn't sure if these adorable Sephora Collection Strays Away Set of 4 Mini Tweezers were better suited to a makeup post or a skincare post. I guess neither, but here they are, so you'll just have to deal. These teeny-tiny tweezers are absolutely adorable, but also super handy as their miniature stature makes the perfect for stashing in purses, travel bags, pockets... you get the idea. The set contains four pairs of tweezers with angled, flat, slanted point, and pointed tips. As cute as they are, I did wonder if they would work well, and yes, they do grab hair and are completely useable. That said, they're best kept for touch-ups as they really are quite small.

I love a beauty gadget every now and then, so I was quite intrigued when I saw the Sephora Collection Sonic Pore Cleansing Brush. The brush is a pulsating and massaging face brush that works to improve the appearance and texture of skin, while being incredibly gentle. If you happen to have extremely sensitive skin, skin that hasn't fared well with other sonic cleansing brushes, this the option for you. The brush is stationary, unlike most that oscillate and can disrupt sensitive skin, and is quite possibly the softest thing I've ever touched.

The brush is densely packed- it has 150,000 extra fine bristles-that feel like almost nothing on skin. The brush has a quite hum, and light vibration, but really doesn't feel like much during the cleansing process. Skin does feel incredibly clean after using this though, and I can't help but think this would be an excellent way to apply serums and treatments, as the sonic action would help them penetrate skin and provide a soothing massage.

While I do like this brush, it isn't the most sturdy feeling. It's made of lightweight plastic that feels a bit cheap in hand- it likely will not survive a drop. Barbecue of this, I would handle it with care, and would advise against traveling with it.

sephora loves skin jelly mask moisturizing and energizing

What skincare routine is complete without a little mask action? The Sephora Collection Jelly Mask Moisturizing & Energizing brings a bit of fun with it's single use pods. The masks come six pods in a box with a vitamin infused formula to hydrate and revitalize dull, fatigued skin.

To use the mask, you simply apply the contents of a pod onto your face an allow it to absorb for 10-15 minutes, the tissue off any excess. I found there was a lot of product in one pod, but I slathered it all on anyway. I was kind of amazed at how much mask my skin drank up, and found that after removal my skin felt much smoother, hydrated, and looked refreshed and just a touch brighter. I like this as a morning mask, as it gives skin that bit of an extra pick me up before makeup, and a bit of extra hydration, which I can always benefit from.

Overall, I'm quite impressed with what I've tried from Sephora Collection. The Jelly Mask has become a fast favourite as it just leaves skin feeling so refreshed and revived. Have you tried any of these products? ave any Sephora Collection products you love?
