Yves Rocher Summer Creation Collection | Eyes

yves rocher summer creation ultra long lasting cream eyeshadow and watereproof eye pencils

One last installment of what has become the Yves Rocher Summer Creation Collection saga- I told you it was sizable. If you missed any of the other segments, check out the fragrance, nails, and lips & cheeks. To finish off, we've got the eyes covered with Yves Rocher Ultra-Long Lasting Cream Eyeshadows and Waterproof Eye Pencils. Read on!

Summer is the the season for long-wearing formulas (you know, so it doesn't melt off) and cream formulas which can be fuss free and user friendly. Yves Rocher Ultra-Long Lasting Cream Eyeshadows are one of those two things... The upside, is that these do wear very well as they set to a budge proof finish, but they just aren't the most user friendly cream shadow I've used. I've used this formula in the past, and have found the formula differs a bit shade to shade.

While these do swatch quite nicely, they don't like to apply evenly on the eye and can be hard to blend. I found if you blend them before they've set, you blend away all of the pigment, but if you wait it out, you can't blend them all. These do work well under other shadows though and if you want to bend the rules, White Pearl makes for a gorgeous highlight on the face. The shade has a glowing, frosty-pearlescent finish that is free of shimmer or glitter that highlights cheekbones, brow bones, the cupids bow, and inner corner beautifully. Other new shades include Aqua Blue (pale denim blue), Ocean Blue (teal blue) and Anthracite (deep charcoal) which all have a glowing, frosty finish.

Do you need another second to meander those swatches? I still get a little bit nervous with blue eye products, but these shades of Yves Rocher Waterproof Eye Pencils in Aqua Blue (periwinkle leaning, pale blue) and Ocean Blue (blue-teal) are simply stunning. The formula is a bit stiff, most noticeably when you're lining your upper lash line, but warms on skin and does apply well on the lower lash. I've been using these shades on the lower lash-line to add a pop of colour to neural looks and find these do amazing things for my brown eyes. The formula is truly waterproof, and wears very well all day until you're ready to remove. It has great hold on the waterline as well, which is always a plus.

Overall, the Waterproof Eye Pencils are must haves for me as the shades are stunners and do wear really well. I am impressed with the White Pearl Ultra-Long lasting Cream Eyeshadow as a highlighter, but you might want to give it a pass for actual eyeshadow use (it can't hurt to get a little bit creative sometimes!) What do you think? Tried any of these products? Thoughts?
