Happy mascara Monday! Okay, it's not really a thing I do all that often, but when it works out, you kind of have to go with it. The mascara in the spotlight today is Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (a bold claim, but really, are we not dealing with an apples and oranges kind of situation here?) Name aside, I've tried it, tested it, and am ready to give you all the 'deets. Read on!

"Inspired by the curves of a woman’s body, the hourglass-shaped brush was designed with extra stiff bristles to maximize the performance of this carbon black, collagen-fueled formula. One coat and lashes are full and defined. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled, and dramatic. Three coats help you achieve the most intense, black, multidimensional lashes possible." - Too Faced

Too Faced Better Than sex Mascara is one that burst in to the beauty world and seemed to an instant hit. After using it, I can see why. The formula provides a ton of length, a good amount of volume, with an easy to build formula (because one coat is no fun.) The brush is on the lrge size, but not massive, and does a nice job grabbing every lash. The handle is very weighty in hand, which through me off a little, but doesn't seem to hinder application.

The formula is a bit wet, and I did find application to be a bit messy (mascara on my lids) which I don't love, but most mascara do thicken a little once opened. I'm hoping that is the case with this, as I don't like having to touch up shadow (who does?) I quite like that this holds a curl pretty well for a non-waterproof mascara and that the pigment is intensely black. I like my lashes as dark as possible. Oh, speaking of black, it stays on lashes all day- no raccoon eyes- and is easily removed.

Overall, I'm really pleased with how well this performs. It definitely makes good on its lengthening promises, and wears like a champ. Tried it? Thoughts? What is your current go-to mascara?
