Burberry Kisses Gloss and Lip Velvet

Happy Friday! You've made it through another week. I'm actually writing this Wednesday evening, and it's likely that as you're reading this I'm in hell. No, not actual hell, but it might as well be. Thanksgiving is Monday (yeah, Canada is funny like that) and I need to run some errands and grocery shop. I normally don't mind grocery shopping, but it's probably going to be crazy busy and I'll be tempted to stab someone. At least I'll have a bit of Burberry so I can pretend I'm doing something more luxurious; like buying more Burberry. That doesn't sound so bad... Anyway, read on for a closer look at Burberry Kisses Gloss in no. 25 Nude Pink and Burberry Lip Velvet Lipstick in no, 409 Honeysuckle.

Burberry Kisses Gloss is not only a lip gloss for those who hate the feel gloss, but it's the kind of gloss to reach for when you need to adult. It's a woman's gloss, as the shimmer is refined, the texture is impeccable (not the least bit sticky) and the packaging is oh-so-classy. It's exactly what you'd expect from a brand like Burberry actually. As mentioned, this does have a pretty dreamy formula. It's lightweight on lips and is free of any scent or any stickiness. I have the shade Nude Pink, which is a sheer, peach kissed pink with fine shimmer. The shade is an exact match for the Burberry Kisses Hydrating Lip Colour of the same name (should you like to get all matchy-matchy.)

If gloss still isn't your thing, the Burberry Lip Velvet Lipstick continues the adulting with it's soft matte formula. Velvet is the perfect descriptor as the feel is just that: velvety soft. The formula glides on like a cream, with full opacity in one swipe, but has a soft-matte finish that never gets dry. The feel is smooth and lightly hydrating for the whole wear time(about 4-5 hours). I have the shade Honeysuckle, a pinkish-red. I'm not sure what I think of this shade... It looks fine, but I kind of don't love it. Maybe it will grow on me. Anyway, the shade does look like a nice everyday type shade should it strike your fancy.

Overall, two great options should you want to add a new designer piece to your beauty stash. What do you think? Like them?
