Who likes to be in pain? I'm sure all your hands few up, no? Alternatively who wants to deal with discomfort associated with skin conditions (like enema and psoriasis), arthritis, heart burn, or teething? Okay, you're probably past the teething stage, but still you get where I'm going with this. If you can believe it, there is an all natural option that can aid in all of those issues, and it's as simple as wearing a bit of jewelry. That solution is Pure Hazelwood, but you're going to have to keep reading to find out more...

Pure Hazelwood is a Canadian company that specializes in in natural health products made with hazelwood. They are the world leader of hazlewood products and have been producing theraputic jewlery and skincare items for 18 years.  So, why hazelwood? Good question. Hazelwood has been used in various ways by indigenous groups for centuries. Research has proven that hazelwood is rich in anti-inflammatory molecules. Use of hazelwood can aid in relieving symptoms related to inflammation, including: teething pain, colic, arthritis (joint pain), skin problems (psoriasis, eczema), digestive disorders (heartburn) and mouth sores. Is that not incredible?

Pure Hazlwood produces jewlery made with high quality hazelwood in styles for baby, child, teen, and adult. They combine hazelwood with glass beads or gemstones to create bracelets, necklaces, and anklets that are not only easy to wear, but therapeutic. I chose the Hematite and Blue Beads Necklace, which features bars of natural hazlewood, small round hematite beads and larger blue ones in the centre. The length of the necklace is customizable, with 16-24 inch options available. I love that the necklace is delicate looking, and cute, considering it is made of natural materials.

When I chose the necklace, I had my mom in mind, as she deals with sporadic sciatica and joint pain, but I did try the necklace first. When the necklace arrived I was just wearing it because it was cute, but as I was nearing that special time of the month (you know the one) I realized it was a great time to see if Pure Hazelwood could calm some of my usual symptoms. I don't deal with too many issues, but I do tend to get what I call an angry lower back, and normally take ibuprofen to relive any pain or tension. I went pill-free, and instead sported my hazelwood necklace. The verdict? I wasn't magically PMS free, but my back didn't seem to bother me. Granted, no two periods are ever the same, but I have to assume I was pain free thanks to the anti-inflammatory properties of the hazelwood.

The necklace is now with it's intended owner, and I can happily report my mom has noticed less joint pain- mainly in her knee that often flares up in times of humidity. She has been wearing the necklace for about a month now, and found it did take some time for the effects to be noticeable, but is a hazelwood convert. Pure Hazelwood products are available online from Pure Hazelwood, in pharmacies, and health food and babies stores. Could you or someone you know benefit from Pure Hazelwood products?
