THEFACESHOP Holiday FOTD

THEFACESHOP Holiday FOTD (4)::: press sample / affiliate links :::

Something rare today... a good old fashioned Face of the Day! I tend to do many. No particular reason, but when the opportunity came about to create a holiday look with THEFACESHOP products, I was all in. I didn't know what I'd be getting, but I think I did them justice. Read on for a rundown of what I got and how I used it.

Before makeup, I took the opportunity to use a new sheet mask. As one does. THEFACESHOP MasCream masks are amazing! I love a sheet mask from time to time, but the MasCream version is a total game changer. The sheet mask is infused with a moisturizer essence (MasCream) as opposed to the clear, serum-type you usually see. The mask gives skin a major dose of hydration and perks up dull skin. The holidays can get majorly stressful if you're not careful, so taking 10-20 minutes of me time (with a great mask) can do wonders for your skin and your sanity.

Using THEFACESHOP items I was sent, and a few other products, I put together an easy holiday look. The bright red lip does most of the work, meaning you don't have to do much else. Yay for easy!

As I mentioned, most of the look is pretty basic as the bright red lip is the focus. I used THEFACESHOP Sing Shadow in BR02 a warm red brown with a satin finish all over the lid with a bit of Mary-Loumanizer in the inner corner. I lined the lower lash with an old (discontinued?) standby, Avon Golden Fawn and the waterline with Rimmel ScandalEyes in Nude. No eye is truly complete without liquid liner, so I used THEFACESHOP Colour Proof Liner for a little cat flick. A few coats of THEFACESHOP Freshian Volumizing Mascara and the eyes are done. Well, save for a quick brow fill. Do they count as eyes or face?

As for the face, I used a bit of Milani Romantic Rose on my cheeks as THEFACESHOP Single Blush in PP01 is more like a highlight. The powder gives skin a soft, cool, radiant glow, but not a whole lot of actual colour. Last up, that bright red lip. THEFACESHOP Ink LipQuid in RD02 Red Sing is a bold, warm red gloss meets stain. The shade is bold and bright, but super easy to wear as the formula has a gel-like texture that is kind of absorbed into lips. It's moisturizing and long lasting as it does tint lips, but the glossiness does stick around for quite a while.

While I tend to play up my eyes more than my lips, I ended up really liking this look. You definitely save time when you go for bolder lips and simple eyes. What's your go to holiday makeup look? Tried anything from THEFACESHOP lately?
