Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks in Lovesick, Mother, Ayesha, and Exorcism 6.6 ml $20 USD / $24 CAD
I have only tried a handful of brands known for liquid lipsticks, but of them Kat Von D is one of my favourites. The Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks have a fully matte finish when dry, but have a creamy texture when applied. They don't dry with a firm feel, and as such don't leave lips feeling dried out. The shades wear well for hours without fading or flaking and in my experience, only the deeper shades leave any transfer (and even that is minimal.)
Housed in long, slim tubes, the lipsticks have a pretty basic doe foot applicator. The shape work really well with the product though as it allows you to line lips with and then fill them in without much hassle. The shades re all quite opaque in one pass, but I do tend to do a second for perfect coverage.
Lovesick is a pnky-mauve shade. It's a little nude, a little pink, and a little dusty. Obviously, not the easiest shade to describe, but it is extremely pretty and a great everyday shade.
Mother is a red based pink with a dusty twist and a hint of mauve. It looks very similar to Lovesick in the tube, but leans much more pink and is more vivid overall.
Ayesha is a stunning lavender shade with a bit of dustiness. I love a purple lip and this shade does not disappoint, although it won't be for everyone.
Exorcism is a deep, vampy, blackened burgundy with a touch of a brown undertone. For a deep shade, was I very impressed that this doesn't apply patchy. I still used two coats for depth and a fully even coverage, but one is fully wearable.
Overall, I love the formula and these shades! If you've been on the fence about liquid lipsticks, try these. The finish is really easy to wear (even on drier lips) and the shade selection is perfection- I dare you to only pick one. Another great thing, these are really easy to remove! Unlike some ultra-long lasting shades, these remove with just a bit of makeup remover. Have you tried them? Want to?
