LA Splash Art-ki-tekt Waterproof Slim Eyeliner
Back to the blog. It feels like it's been a very long time since I've written anything. I spent last week in bed with what might just have been the worst cold to ever have existed (it was fully terrible.) I was very much overdue a cold- it had been almost three years since my last- but it completely knocked me down. Anyway, I'm back, but am starting small with a single liner. Yes, it's single, but it's also pretty great, and I don't mess around when it comes to my liquid liner. Want to know more? Read on for a closer look at the new LA Splash Art-ki-tekt Waterproof Slim Eyeliner.

Neutral Blues | Born Pretty Store Matte Glitter Nail Art
As much as I enjoy nail art, it's just not something I do all that often. It can be time consuming and my nails chip easily, so it's no fun to spend a ton of time on something that is only going to last two days (at best.) That said, I will make time for nail art if it's easy and on the quicker side. That is exactly what I have today- easy and quick. All you need is a polish and a pot of Born Pretty Store matte glitter powder. Interested? You know what to do...

THEFACESHOP Character Masks
I find skincare pretty enjoyable, but I know not everyone can agree with that. There is a way to add a bit of fun to the mix though. With a mask! Wait, yes, a mask, but not just a slap it on and wait mask, a mask that is is a mask- twofold. A mask that is both a sheet mask and an actual hide-yo-face mask. Could I use the word mask a few more times? Likely so, yes. Anyway, if masked masks sound interesting, or you still think I'm talking gibberish, read on and all will be revealed.

Snack Smarter with Snack Break Subscription Box
Oh, the snack. A staple in most of our everyday lives. If you're like me, you aren't much of a breakfast eater (even though you know you should) and will skip lunch to get work done (again, you know you shouldn't.) Before you know it, it's 3 pm and all you've eaten was two clementines and a cup of tea. I know, it's not the best, because it can turn you into a ravenous angry-pants, and nobody wants to deal with that. Plus, you're more likely to eat things you shouldn't in quantities you shouldn't and then feel slightly terrible about it. There is an easy solution to this cycle- Snack Break. But What is it? Read on and find out.

L’Occitane 2016 Women’s Day Solidarity Balm
If one wanted to play the critic, they could very easily find a number of flaws in the beauty industry. There are plenty, but there are also some really great things. Like brands that put forth the effort to better the communities their products and ingredients come from. L'Occitane is one of those brands. They've worked with the women of Burkina Faso who produce shea butter for thirty years and raise funds annually via the sale of their solidarity products. Read for more about this year's Shea Rose Solidarity Ultra Soft Balm.

What better way to wrap up the week than with a bit of lipstick. Avon, who are notorious for great lipstick, have rolled out a new formula in the True Colour range with the addition of Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipsticks. Matte lipsticks aren't new, but these... well, they aren't your average matte lipstick. Read on to find out if that's a good or bad thing.

The Style Edit | Firmoo Tortoise Keyhole Frames
When it comes to personal fashion, I keep it pretty simple. Mainly casual, and yes, that is code for jeans. I don't really do trends, but stick to more classic styles. I do like to switch around my accessories pretty frequently to keep things interesting though. Bags, jewelry, shoes, nail polish (totally an accessory) and my glasses. When you wear glasses all day erry day, you get tired of the same old frames. I know, glasses can be hella expensive, but they don't have to be. Do you know where this is going? Read on and see if you're right...

Pantone Pastels with Youngblood Mineral Eyeshadow Quads
In my four (or is it five?) years blogging, I've never done a Pantone dedicated post. I'm sure I've made mention of the colours- Emerald, Radiant Orchid, Marsala- to name a few, but never anything specific. That changes today. I'm sure you're aware of this year's official colours- Rose Quartz and Serenity. I was initially unsure of how well the pastel duo would fare as makeup shades, but Youngblood has options in their Vintage and Glamour-Eyes Mineral Eyeshadow Quads that are not only gorgeous, but easily wearable. Read on for a closer look!

New Hair with Colour Oops, Splat & Manic Panic
For the past year (or so... who knows, really) I've been doing the rainbow hair thing. I've been purple, blue, teal, back to purple, fuchsia, red and pink. While I've enjoyed each phase, there was one colour I still hadn't conquered- green. It just so happened I was offered the chance to try Splat and green was an option. It was meant to be. I used a few different products to reach my end result, but I will say, it's pretty glorious! Read on to see my transformation and how I achieved it.

The Valentine's Papmer with Farley Co. + Giveaway!
Another Valentine's related post? I know, I'm on a roll this year. Whether you despise the day or love it, it's a great day to love the most important person in your life- you! It just happens to fall on a Sunday this year, meaning most of us- if you have to work, I suggest calling in sick- can spend a lazy day pampering ourselves, napping, and snacking. Farley Co. has so nicely sent me some pampering products from I Love..., 7th Heaven, and Colab plus an opportunity to give some away. Yay for giveaways, right!

Lip Lovin' | Valentine Edition
A few days ago, I shared a roundup or Valentine-sy products. Eagle-eye readers may have noticed something missing- lipstick! How can you cover Valentine's Day without lipstick? It's simple, you can't. A swipe of pink or red lipstick is great any day, but it's almost essential on Feb. 14th. Read on for a look at shades from Arbonne, Essence, and Hard Candy that are perfectly pink (and red!)

VIIcode ‘T2’ Oxygen Eye Cream
Aging gets a bad wrap. It's not that aging itself that is so terrible, it's the looking like you've aged part that is kind of (or totally) sucky. Nobody wants to look older than they are. Obviously, there are some things we just can't control- like how quickly our roots are turning grey- but a little preventative action can do a lot of good. One area wherein most of us rev up our anti-aging game is skincare. It's a relatively easy way to keep the hands of time off your face (or at least, lessen the impact.) I've recently added the VIIcode ‘T2’ Oxygen Eye Cream to my routine, and have been pretty pleased with the results. Want to know more? Read on!

Shop it Out with ABAA Beauty
I make it no secret that I'm Canadian, but you probably know that... right? Being Canadian and living in Canada is pretty great, but there are a few downsides. Most of which come when one tries to shop online. Shipping can be ridiculous. I don't know how many times I've filled my cart on a site that says they ship here only find the shipping is $67 (or some other equally outrageous number) The Canadian dollar fluctuates (a lot) which means my money doesn't go nearly as far- why hello, $0.70 on the dollar. It sucks the fun out of shopping pretty quickly.
Luckily, there are some great Canadian sites, but they can be tricky to find. One that I've recently discovered is ABAA Beauty. Not only are they Canadian based (in Mississauga, ON to be exact) but they have a pretty amazing selection of products at reasonable prices. They were awesome enough to send me a few bits to chat about so read on for a look. Oh, there might even be a discount too...

This, That & Other Stuff Vol. 8 | Valentine Edition
You know what February means... Groundhog day! Okay, not what I was going for, but it does come up this month too (today, actually.) What I had in mind was Valentine's Day. The day of everything red and pink and half dressed, bow and arrow wielding babies. Kind of. I have a selection of the former (the red and pink bits that is) that are perfect for anyone you'd like to make your valentine. Read on for a closer look!

Michael Todd Soniclear Petite
Some might call them gimmicky, bu I happen to love beauty gadgets. Okay, there are definitely some on the market that don't live up to their claims, and are indeed gimmicky, but there are also some really great ones that make you question how you ever lived without them. From my experience, Michael Todd knows the great kind. I added the Michael Todd Soniclea Petite to my skincare routine a month (or so...) ago and have been loving it.I'm getting ahead of myself though, so read on for my thoughts.
