LA Splash "Forbidden Kiss" by Laura G Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks
Upfront: I don't know who Laura G is. I'm blissfully unaware when it comes to a lot of the 'beauty gurus' on Youtube and Instagram. I do happen to be a fan of her collaboration with LA Splash however. The Forbidden Kiss Collection of Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks is kind of perfect with romantic nudes, pinks, and a sultry plum. I'm getting ahead of myself though, so read on for all the details!

Balms Away | The Lip Balm Edit
Chances are you've got a purse full of them, some stashed near your bed, at your desk- work and home- your car... basically anywhere you might need one. I'm talking lip balm, if you weren't sure. They're useful, sure, because chapped, dry lips suck, but they're also oh-so-collectable. One is never enough. I have six formulas that have been in my roster lately and thought it was time to chat them up. Ready? You know what to do...

Ellen Lange Retexturizing Peel
I've already felt the urge to purge and have started a bit of a spring clean and sort out. I've got too much of just about everything it seems and it's got to go. Spring cleaning isn't just limited to one's stuff though, it also includes yo' face. Chances are it's carrying around some extra gunk you really don't need (or want.) What's a girl to do? Call Ellen Lange. More specifically, call in the Ellen Lange Retexturizing Peel.

Happy snow day! What, it's not a snow day for you? Spring has indeed left my part of the world and it's back to snow and ice for the time being. Fun! No. Not even a little bit, but I will hold on to a shred of spring with the pretty hues that make up the Zoya Whispers Collection. Well, part of it. I opted to only bring home April, Lake, and Eastyn, but in my opinion, they're the best of the batch. Want a closer look? Read on!

Sothys Sport Retro Chic Collection | Spring Summer 2016
It's Monday, and you know what? It feels like it. Sure the sun is shining and and it might just end up being a gorgeous day, but my day started with a jolt. My neighbour so nicely had a crew of tree trimmers (complete with wood chipper) start work at the butt-crack of dawn. I love my sleep, so the wake-up call was not pleasant. Needless to day, this blogger is going to need a nap. But, that's not before we chat up a bit of French beauty from Sothys. Their Spring/Summer collection has recently launched and what I've tried is pretty great. Read on for a look at a few pieces from the Sothys Sport Retro Collection.

Charlotte Tilbury The Uptown Girl Set
"Not with a fizzle, but with a bang." That's exactly how Charlotte Tilbury will be making her blog debut today- with a bang. One, two, maybe three Charlotte Tilbury products... That would be nice, but oh no, I've got seven (eight if you count makeup bags, do you count those?) Why the excess? The short answer is why not? The actual answer though is much simpler, because you can take all the work out of choosing makeup with pre-designed look sets. Charlotte Tilbury has created ten looks, based around ten different types of women. Each have their own shades to achieve the look for day and night. I've got The Uptown Girl Set and it's all kinds of pretty. Read on for more info and of course, swatches.

A late start to my blogging day today, but I just couldn't get myself started. The dull weather and rain had me all curled up with my book (and maybe a cat and some tea) and just didn't want to. Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft-Matte Hydrating Foundation
New drugstore foundation! I know some aren't keen on drugstore foundations, but I like trying them, You get the odd dud now and then, but that happens with higher priced formulas too. You win some you lose some. The newest drugstore foundation to pass over my desk (and face) is the Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft-Matte Hydrating Foundation. A matte finish that isn't drying? I'll be the judge of that...

Mary Kay Into the Garden Collection | Spring 2016
Spring! It's most definitely starting to look and feel spring-y here. The snow is almost completely gone, the grass is popping up in little green tufts, and the little woodland creatures that my cat likes to stalk (from behind glass, she's an indoor beast) are scurrying around, Looking for their hidden loot, I'm sure. Anyway, with the arrival of spring, some the arrival of sweetly hued collections and a lot of pink. Mary Kay has offered us just that, a very sweet and feminine collection clad in vintage florals with the Into the Garden Collection for Spring 2016. Read on for a better look!

Born Pretty Store Cuticle Tattoos
First nail decals, which are really just temporary tattoos, but now actual temporary tattoos. Who would have guessed they'd be so trendy? I mean, most of the time, they end up looking super fake, with a sheen, and transparent outline from the backing. I can't see myself reaching for a sheet of temporary tattoos for my body, but for my cuticles... That sounds kind of interesting. It was with that though in mind that I accepted a sheet of Born Pretty Store Cuticle Tattoos for review. How did they turn out? Read on for a look!

HIF Colour Support Cleansing Conditioner
This review has been a long time coming. Partly because my first experience with cleansing conditioner was terrible and partly because Deciem make incredible products and I didn't want to waste it on a lackluster hair colour. A contradictory statement, but a true one. On the chance I loved this, I didn't want o use it when my hair colour was already faded and dying. Since I've had a fresh new colour, it's been the perfect time to give the HIF Colour Support Cleansing Conditioner a try. Is it amazing? Read on to find out...

Avon True Colour Matte Eyeshadow Quads
I feel like I start all of my Avon eyeshadow reviews the same way, but it kind of has to be said- their eyeshadows can be hit and miss. They do amazing lipsticks and have some other great products, but they just don't always hit the mark with their shadows. It was with that in mind that I set out to test their new additions to the True Colour range, the True Colour Matte Eyeshadow Quads. There are five new quads that feature all matte shades. How do they fare? Read on to find out...

Maybelline Master Contour Face Contouring Kit
I don't contour much. Maybe three or four times in a month will I do the full routine, but for the most part it just doesn't happen. When it comes to contour, I get a bit lazy, a contouring blush shade never hurts either. That said, I still like the idea of contouring and will always be on the hunt for the best shade to do so (pale girls know what I mean.) I was very interested when these new Maybelline Master Contour Face Contouring Kits ht drugstores as they not only have everything you need in one place, but the shades looked pretty promising too. The verdict? You'll have to read on...

Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayons

::: press sample / affiliate links :::
When I was new to makeup, brows weren't really a thing. The very thin, over-plucked look was popular, but luckily, I had an aversion to tweezers and never plucked myself silly. Needless to say, there also wasn't much on the market aimed at brow perfecting. Fast forward to today and it's a very different brow-world, with fuller, more natural looking brows being in. A vast improvement. Getting those gorgeous brows usually takes a bit of product (or four) but Maybelline has set out to make brow perfection a easier with their Brow Drama Pomade Crayons. Interested? Bioderma Hydrabio Micellar, Serum and Cream
Micellar waters are definitely here to stay, with more and more brands (including drugstore!) putting their options into the ring. While I have found some budget buys that I really like. Bioderma still reigns supreme in the micellar world. Their Sensibio (aka the red one) Micelle Solution is the most popular, but they do make two other ranges- Sebium (green) for sensitive/acne prone skin, and Hydrabio (blue) for sensitive/dry skin. Today, it's all about the blue Hydrabio range, as we'll be chatting up the Bioderma Hydrabio H20 Micelle Solution, Serum Moisturizing Concentrate, and Light Cream. Interested? Read on!
