Ceramic Glaze | New Core Shades!

Ceramic Glaze new core shades::: press sample :::

It seems to be the season of nail polish as evidenced by the amount of swatching I've been doing lately. Of the new shades to pass my way, are five shades being added to the core Ceramic Glaze lineup. I believe these shades are from previously LE collections, so if something looks familiar, that's why. If you're thinking you're not familiar with this brand, then you're probably not Canadian (are you?) as Ceramic Glaze is a Shoppers Drug Mart exclusive product. Ready for swatches? Read on!

Ceramic Glaze Belle Amie
Ceramic Glaze Belle Ami (with top coat)

Belle Amie is a peachy neon orange. It's super bright, and as such, lost a bit of it's peachy-ness when photographed. The formula is a bit fickle, as the polish is a bit thick and applies unevenly. A white base would probably make things easier, but I didn't use one and as such needed three coats. This shade also dries to a semi-matte finish, but I applied a top coat.

Ceramic Glaze Sweet Temptation
Ceramic Glaze Sweet Temptation

Sweet Temptation is a strawberry red (aka a red with that slight pop of pink.) The pink is a bit camera shy though, as this reads a touch too red in photos. The formula is super pigmented but a touch thick. Two coats.

Ceramic Glaze Island Getaway
Ceramic Glaze Island Getaway (with top coat)

Island Getaway is a poppy neon pink. It's bright, and bold, and so pretty! The formula is a little thin at first, but build nicely in two coats. This shade also dries matte, so I added top coat for a glossy finish.

Ceramic Glaze Forever in Love
Ceramic Glaze Forever in Love

Forever in Love is a Marsala-esque deep red. It has a touch of a brown base and a super pigmented, easy going formula. Two coats.

Ceramic Glaze Raisin Biscotti
Ceramic Glaze Raisin Biscotti

Raisin Biscotti is a deep, blackened plum. Okay, it's so deep it reads pretty close to black, but in the right light, the plummy hue shines through. Another easy formula with great pigmentation. Two coats.

Overall, these are some great shades! I'm really into Island Getaway and Forever in Love, but these are all great shades (Raisin Biscotti is my current pedicure shade, fyi) As mentioned, Ceramic Glaze is exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart at the suggested price of $9.99 CAD. What do you think of these shades? need any of them in your life?
