Colour correctors are all the rage right now, but you know, I haven't tried many. I remember investing a wheel of colour correctors when I first got into makeup, and I can tellyou exactly how many times I actually used them... Yeah, that would be zero. As an older, wiser, makeup lover, the current me is very much interested in testing the colour correcting waters. To get started, I've got one of the three new Marc Jacobs Cover(t) Stick in Getting Warmer.

The Marc Jacobs Cover(t) Sticks look like litter deodorant sticks, complete with the twist up action. No deodorant here though, as these are filled with one of three colour correctors. The getting Warmer shade features peach and caramel hues swirled together to correct dark circles and hyper-pigmentation and work as a brightener on darker skin tones. I initially thought the shade would be all wrong for me, as it's warmer and deeper than anything I'd typically use. I was so wrong though. The shade works amazing well under concealer to banish dark circles. I pat a bit of this on, top with a bit of concealer and set with translucent powder. The effect is so much better than just concelaer. It's magical I tell you!

The corrector has a creamy texture that seems to be cream to powder, as it has that drier feeling velvety finish once blended out. Oh, and this blends so easily! The colour is kind of sheer, but buildable, which makes it much easier to blend and look natural once covered.

While these are pricier options, I quite like Getting Warmer and am interested in trying the brightening shade. What do you think of the colour correcting trend? Do you have any favourite colour correcting products?
