Clearly if you've taken the time to come this far and read this, you appreciate new makeups. Yes, makeups. Sephora Collection is always churning out something new and I have two littles you might just enjoy. One is a new Sephora Collection Rouge Shine and the other, part of the new My Beauty Notebook Palette Set. Want to see more? You know what to do...
"The Hydra-Comfort complex blend of moisturizing oils and antioxidiant vitamin E ensures optimal comfort, while nourishing and protecting your lips. The glossy shades include clear pigments and carnauba wax for a dazzling, wet-lip look." - Sephora
If you're a fan of balmy lipsticks, then the Sephora Collection Rouge Shine Lipstick is for you. The easy wearing lipsticks have a hydrating formula with a balmy feel and glossy shine. Available in a wide range of shades and finishes (think shimmer, cream, metallic, and glitter) there is something for every taste. I love how comfortable these are (I already have a few shades in my stash) and how nicely they hydrate, but they aren't the longest lasting. They have a fair amount of slip, and as such don't wear much longer than an hour or two.
The shade I received is no. 12 Guest List, a my lips but better-type rosy-nude with fine shimmer. It's a suitable-for-all kind of colour, and a great on-the-go shade as it goes with everything and is easy to touch up sans mirror if need be.
Sephora Collection My Beauty Notebooks Eye, face & Lip Palette Set- Ready for Tonight Palette $34 USD / $43 CAD (for set of three)
When I scheduled this post, the palette wasn't on the Sephora site yet (and I had no info on it) so I wasn't aware it's actually part of a set. It is. Part of a set that is. The My Beauty Notebooks Eye, Face & Lip Palettes come ina set of three. Each palette is curated into three categories- Daily Chic, Working it, and Ready For Tonight Palettes. The palettes have a combination of six shadows, two lip colours and two blushes, bronzers, or highlighters.
I received the Ready for Tonight Palette which includes a bronzer (warm matte), blush (peachy-pink with fine shimmer) and six shadows to create a smokey or golden eye look. You also get two lip colours with one being a sheer pink gloss with shimmer, and a really pigmented bold pink. The shadows are quite impressive for a value palette and have really great pigmentation and work very nicely together. The balck shadow has blue glitter, and is a bit dry, making the one shade that could be better. It does apply easier (and with more apparent shimmer) if applied with a damp brush though.
Overall, some great additions to the Sephora Collection lineup. I was already a fan of the Rouge Shine Lipsticks, so I was very pleased to add a new shade to my collection. You really can't go wrong with them. The palette set is great if you know you're going to be traveling, as they do have most of your essentials all in one place. The mirror is a nice touch, but I think they should have skipped the lip product to make the face powders twice the size. What do you think? Interested in any of these products?
