It's a makeup day, blog fans! Yay! I'm trying to keep upbeat after finishing season 4 of Orange is the New Black. No spoilers, but it might just leave you an emotional puddle. Kleenex was definitely required on my part. Anyway, today is about the new Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners including some really fun colours. Want a closer look? You know what to do...
Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner in M-92, M-30, I-34, I-36, and ME-42 1.2 g $21 USD / $25 CAD
The Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners are all kinds of perfect. Yup, were getting right to it. I was a bit apprehensive as to what this formula would like, as I've had mixed results with MUFE waterproof liners in the past, but these.... SO GOOD! Each of the five shades I've tried (out of the 20 available) has a creamy, smooth, perfectly pigmented formula that was very easy to apply. These aren't dry, glide on skin easily, and thanks to their waterproof wear, stick around very well on the waterline. You have a moment to smudge them out and manipulate them, but once they set, they're on and not going anywhere.
As mentioned, the range includes 20 shades. You've got your basic standards (black, brown, white...) but you also have your choice of fun, poppy shades that are perfectly summery. Along with shade selection, there is also a variety of finishes with M for matte, ME for metallic, I for iridescent, D for diamond and S for Satin.
I've been loving M-92, a matte pastel lavender, as I've searched for this shade for so long, but never found a matte shade. Granted, the other shades might have won my heart too (okay, they definitely did.) M-30 is a matte pastel mint, I-34, an iridescent grass green, I-36, an iridescent brown based khaki, and the super stunning, ME-42, a metallic bronze.
As long-wearing and budge-proof as the liners are, I didn't have any trouble removing them with just a bit of micellar. That said, MUFE does make a great waterproof remover. The Make Up For Ever Sens' Eyes Sensitive Waterproof Eye Cleanser seems to be very underrated, but is a great option for removing eye makeup. The formula is easy on eyes and breaks down makeup in a flash. The creamy gel-like texture is massaged on and wiped away leaving skin perfectly clean with no oily feel. Simply put, it's pretty great.
Overall, I say you need these liners! The shade selection is amazing and the formula is well worth the price. I already have a few more shades I'm going to need to see me through the summer. What do you think? Tried these or want to?
