Admittedly, I'm not the biggest fan of summer. it's just too damn hot. Sure, a sunny day is nice, and a few months with no snow is even better, but the heat bleck. There are definitely products that not only make the warm weather easier, but also make it a bit better. Summer Survival Supplies. Read on for some of my summer must haves!

Hair. It's an all year thing, but can become more of a nuisance come warmer weather and more exposed skin. Nair has made removal (if you so choose removal) a bit easier with their new Wax Ready Strips. While other strips need to be rubbed in your hands to warm the wax, these  bad boys are ready to go right out of the box. It's a small thing, but such an amazing difference. I love not having to rush with the first strip to use the second before it cools. These are super easy and not too bad on the pain factor scale.

Hotter days = more showers. Simple math, really. It also can lead to dry, uncomfortable skin from over-washing. Bioderma Altoderm Gentle Shower Gel is the kinder option. The shower gel not is not only a super gentle, mildly scented, soap-free body wash, but it can also be used on the face. The gentle formula cleanses nicely while leaving skin feeling balanced and lightly moisturized.  It comes in a massive 1 liter pump at a great price, which means you can lather up as often as you please. You can also share with the whole family as the formula is safe for babies right through to adults.

I have become a bit of a hot tool addict (I need my curling wand) but when it's humid and ugh I don't want to sit through a styling session with a 300 degree tool every other day. The answer? Dry shampoo and volumizing powder. They can take day old hair and revive it into a thing of wonder in mere moments.

The Got2b Rockin' It Dry Shampoo is completely invisible on hair (even the darkest hues) with a fresh citrus-y scent. It cleanses oily roots and gives a volume boost with not weird residue or chalky feel. For even more volume (I want it big!) a light dusting of the got2b Powder'ful Volumizing Styling Powder at the root lifts hair and adds a bit of texture. The key is to go easy with the volumizing powder, as a little goes a long way. Too much and hair can get a bit tacky feeling.

For me, the summer months mean corals, oranges, and bright pink lip shades. The problem? Yellow based shades can make teeth look less than pearly white. Not the best combo. I love baking soda toothpaste formulas to keep my teeth naturally white, and the Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Clean & Fresh Toothpaste is just that. The formula is super minty- spearmint to be exact- with an intensely clean feel. I love that the baking soda works to remove surface stains, but doesn't leave my teeth feeling sensitive.

Summer pedicures in fun shades are a must have. Essie's Summer 2016 Collection is home to six bold shades perfect for sunny days and warm nights. Full size are great, but if you've already got a ton of polish, or will be on the go a lot, the Mini Four Pack is a great option. I mean, who has ever finished a full size bottle of polish anyway? Essie minis are the best, as you're still getting a regular size handle and brush, so applying polish isn't hindered at all.

The 2016 Summer mini set includes Coconut Cove (clean, white cream) Viva Antigua! (teal with semi-hidden silver and tonal shimmer) Loot the Booty (deep blue with semi-hidden silver and tonal shimmer) and Berried Treasure (bold pink-red cream.)

We obviously can't have summer supplies without SPF. For face, I am all about high factors and light-weight formulas which is exactly what the Garnier Ombrelle SPF 60 Face Ultra-Light Cream provides. Basically, it's an SPF that feels like a light moisturizer. It applies cleanly, absorbs well and leaves skin hydrated and ready for makeup. It doesn't leave any kind of white cast on skin (should you be wearing it on it's own) and on me, didn't leave my skin oily or shiny throughout wear.

My eyes tend to dry all year round, so I don't skimp on eye cream. My new favourite is the very summery looking (hello, bright orange!) Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream. For a light cream, it offers a lot of hydration and works to brighten eyes thanks to it's blend of peptides to support collagen reserves that can be threatened by stress, fatigue, and lack of sleep, and thus make you look tired. Plus, the tube packaging closes securely and means you're getting fresher ingredients.

Last up, and maybe my most loved item, comes in the form of Annabelle Waterproof Liquid Eyeliners. Can we take a moment and gaze upon Blue Spark... Okay, I initially thought it would be too bright to get much use of, but it's not. It's perfectly bold and makes an incredible blue cat eye flick. I already have my go to summer look down- blue cat eye, lots of volumizing mascara, blushing bronzer (hello, TF Pink Leopard!) and a swipe of Mirabella Balmy Nectar on lips.

Should blue not be your style, it's also offered in Bronze (metallic bronze) and Black Star (metallic deep charcoal). The formula is perfection, as it's not only completely waterproof and smudge-proof (no meltdowns!) but the precise sponge tip applicator makes clean lines with ease.

So, are you ready for summer? What are your must haves to survive the season in style?
