It's a polish day, but not your ordinary... We're talking Bio Seaweed Gel! Gel polish has become pretty standard, with so many at-home options, but none are quite like the Bio Seaweed Unity range. It's a two step system (no base required) that you can cure without a lamp, if you so choose. The Unity range can be cured in the sun. It also happens to be incredibly durable and one of the few polishes that lasts up to a week (or more) on my nails. It's incredible stuff. Bio Seaweed Gel is always adding new shades, and has recelty launched a fun eight-piece collection with perfect summer hues in the form of the Carnival Summer Unity Collection. Read on for a closer look at Tea Cups a cute light purple.

As I mentioned, the Bio Seaweed Gel Unity range can be cured with a lamp or by the sun. For a full rundown of the range, and my initial wear test, check out my first BSG post here. I've tried a few different cured gel polishes, with mixed results, but Bio Seaweed gel remains my favourite. It's super glossy, easy to apply, and most importantly, stays on my nails. I'm currently on day five (wearing Tea Cups) and it looks just as great as it did on day one- no chips or wear!
The Carnival Collection is filled with summer pastels and brights with cream finishes. I was sent Tea Cups, a light purple. It's such a really cute shade and I love that it can easily work for three seasons- spring, winter (I love pastel mid-winter) and summer. The formula of Tea Cups is on the thicker side, but very much consistent with the other BSG shades I've used. Two coats gives perfect coverage and a glossy shine, but for added durability (and shine) I topped Tea Cups with the BSG No-Wipe Top Coat, If yu've used typical three-step gel polish, you know that there is a sticky layer that you wipe away once you've added your top coat. The unity sytem has no sticky layer, thus the no-wipe name.
I love Tea Cups- how can you not though? and am thinking my collection needs Prize Every Time, Snow Cone, and maybe even Fun House. What do you think of the collection? Are you a fan of gel polishes? Tried Bio Seaweed Gel?
