I love a lot of different hues, but orange has never been on of my favourites. I might need to reassess my opinion of the shade though. Why? It's a signature shade of Ole Henriksen and the Ole is quickly becoming my skin's new BFF. I've been spritzing with the Facial Water Trio and treating myself to exfoliating/brightening treatments with Power Bright and my skin is very happy. As I've said before, happy skin is always good.
When it comes to testing the waters of a new brand, a sample size kit is a great way to go. The Ole Henriksen Facial Water Trio lets you do that (in a pretty literal way). The trio includes the brand's three facial sprays in half size bottles (full size are 118 ml $22 USD / $28 CAD) to meet your misting needs:
- Truth Facial Water: energizing and hydrating facial mist that features a citrus botanical blend of sweet orange and mandarin oils, red and white tea, and pomegranate extracts.
- Nurture Me Facial Water: soothing and hydrating facial mist with a nutrient-rich botanical blend of cucumber and chamomile extracts and pro vitamin B5.
- Grease Relief Facial Water: purifying and mattifying facial mist with an herbal botanical blend of lactic acid, golden seal, and hops extract.
My usually dry skin is a natural fit for Nutrure Me, with it's hydrating properties (which is a great pre-makeup mist) but I've been especially loving the Grease Relief in this unholy level hot weather. A little mist works to help cut down any heat induced oiliness and feels really great on skin. Bonus- the mist is really fine so you're not left feeling drowned in product.
The mists are a fun, easy way to inject some Ole into your routine, but the Power Birgit is the way to go if you can swing it. Why? Because one use leaves your skin looking and feeling brand new! Ole says it's a solution for dulleness, unenven skin tone, and fine lines and wrinkles. Not so sure about that last on, but the first two, most definitly.
Power Bright consists of six pre-packaged three-step cards that contain the perfect amount of product in sealed pods. I love that you not only get the freshest ingredients with each use, but you don't have to guess if you're using too much or too little to get the job done.
The system starts with the Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask, a sugar based scrub to polish away dull dead skin. The the Truth 25 Percent Vitamin C Concentrate followed by the Pure Truth Melting Cleanser on top. The cleanser activates the vitamin C with a mild warming sensation. The kit includes two sponged that are used to remove the last step of the mask and make a nice added element. The process leaves skin feeling incredibly smooth, cleansed, exfoliated and thoroughly pampered. Unlike other similar products I've used, this is actually hydrating on top of everything else thanks to the cherry seed, sweet almond, and rose hip seed oils in the formula.
As a new Ole Henriksen user, I have to say that I am an instant fan! The Facial Mist tiro is a great introduction to the brand while the Power Bright is a straight up must-have as it really dose do wonders for skin. Are you an Ole Henrisken fan? Tried any of these products?
