Vichy Ideal Body | Shower Gel-Cream, Serum Milk & Replumping Lip Balm

It's been a moment since my last Vichy post, but you knew I couldn't stay away for long. The brand is one of my favourites when it comes to skincare so I am always ready to try their newest offerings. They've recently added some new bits to their Ideal Body range (sister to their Idealia face range) including the Spa Shower Gel-Cream, Serum-Milk, and Replumping Lip Balm (yup, Vichy lip balm!) and I've done the excruciatingly hard work of testing it all out. My verdicts? You're going to have to read on for that...

The Vichy Idealia range is one of my most used section of products (the BB, eye cream, serum, sleep mask...) so the idea of body products with a similar vibe was very promising. The Ideal Body range takes the Idealia efficacy with formulas for the body.

For the shower, Vichy is offering up two cleansing options- a gel-oil and gel-cream. I've been using the gel-cream, which is a soap-free shower gel that features Vichy thermal water (the not-so secret ingredient in all of their products) with a blend of 15 mineral active ingredients and natural oils including white clay and shea butter.

The gel-cream has a really fabulous fresh, slightly floral scent (I can't pin point exactly what the notes are supposed to be) that's a bit sweet that lingers just a bit on skin. It's mostly a in-shower scent, so there is no worries of it competing with other products. It cleanses skin thoroughly, leaving it hydrated but without any greasy of heavy feel.

Everyone loves a serum, but for your body? Vichy thinks so, and I am inclined to agree. I've actually been using the Serum-Milk for about a year (and have previously featured it here) but I highly recommend it, so I don't mind chatting up again.

The body serum uses ingredient usually found in face care- Hyaluronic Acid and LHA- which have been combined with 10 oils to take skin to an ideal place (see what I did there?) The serum works to smooth, firm, hydrate, and leave skin more radiant. The radiance factor is immediate as the serum has mother-of-pearl particles which add sheen to leave skin softly luminous. With use, the LHA works to smooth skin and naturally boost tone and brightness.

As mentioned, I'm a huge fan of this product! It's lightweight, but hydrates extremely well (thank you, hyaluronic acid!) smells incredible, and makes skin so happy. I highly suggest giving it a try if you can.

I will admit, I was way too excited about this lip balm. I mean, a lip balm from one of my favouirte skincare brands? Yes, please! The Ideal Body Replumping Lip Balm delivers great hydration thanks to the shea butter, macadamia oil with added beeswax for extra protection and soothing. The balm is fairly lightweight, really comfortable on lips (no sticky, or oily feel) and has a light fruity (apricot?) floral scent much like the Serum-Milk.

Don't be scared off by the replumping name, this balm doesn't sting, or plump lips artificially, but instead adds hydration and cares for lips leaving them feeling smoother, more plump, and softly shiny. I like this balm for anytime of day use, but it's really great prior to matte or long-wear lipstick as the light texture absorbs cleanly and doesn't alter your other lip products.

Overall, more Vichy greatness! There really isn't much Vichy doesn't do well, and these product are no exception. What do you think? Interested in trying any of these products? Do you have any Vichy faves?
