Happy day after the worst day ever, blog fans! That's all I will say as to the recent unpleasantness. Let's chat up a stupendously awesome subscription box instead, yes? Jini Beauty is the name, and curated Korean beauty is their game. They offer a very generous box of 6-7 full and deluxe size samples in each box and cater to your specific skin type. Sine I tend to be dry, I went with the dry/mature option. For a little unboxing of what I received, read on!
A little business first, actually. A Jini Beauty subscription is available in four skin types - dry/mature, normal/combination, oily/acne, and sensitive/troubled. You can opt for a bi-monthly subscription ($44.95), six months (3 boxes, every other month at $129.95) or yearly (6 boxes, every other month at $249.95) Jini Beauty currently ships to the USA and Canada with $8 shipping and hope to expand to other countries in the future.
When you open the box, it's nicely wrapped in tissue and sealed with a Jini Beauty sticker. Under the wrapping is a menu care which gives you info on the included products and directions. Not all of the products include full English directions, so it's a nice addition.
Dr. Young Nourishing Rain or Dry Geumsan Ginsing Skin Mask | COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask
It might not officially be on the books (just yet, anyway) but it's criminal not to include some sort of sheet mask in a K-beauty box. Jini included two options in this month's box with the Dr. Young Nourishing Rain or Dry Geumsan Ginsing Skin Mask and COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask. I've yet to try a snail mucin mask, so I'm extra interested in the COSRX mask.
THE SAEM Eco Earth Power Light Sun Cream SPF 50 +/PA +++
One of the many full size items is the THE SAEM Eco Earth Power Light Sun Cream SPF 50 +/PA +++. Asian brands tend to do sunscreen exceptionally well, and from what I've tried of this (on the back of my hand) this does have a light, hydrating formula.
IT'S SKIN Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Serum
I love serum and hyaluronic acid is dry skin's bestie, so I am quite excited about this IT'S SKIN Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Serum. Plus, it's another full size product. Not too shabby.
Heimish Dailism Lip Palette | Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack in Canola Honey
I will admit that lip palettes aren't always my favourite, but this little Heimish Dailism Lip Palette is pretty adorable. The slim palette features five shades in two formulas (matte and radiant from what I can tell) I did mean to give this a swatch after I took photos, but didn't actually remember to do it. Blogger fail.
Innisfree is a brand I've been meaning/wanting to try, and now can with the Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack in Canola Honey. The resealable pod contains enough mask for 2-3 uses and features 100 ppm (parts per million) of canola honey for intense moisture and nourishment.
Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Magic Wand for Lip & Eye Makeup Remover
Cute packaging alert! The Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Magic Wand for Lip & Eye Makeup Remover is cute, travel friendly, and oh-so useful. The makeup remover is housed in cotton swap-style tubes that you twist to dispense. This is another full size product and comes with 20 swabs.
TOSOWOONG Makeon Waterproof Gel Pencil Liner in Cat's Eye Wild Black
So, most of us don't want to see a black liner in our subscription boxes, but that's exactly what this is. The image on the card showed some gorgeous neutral, and metallic shades, but black was the shade included. The upside is that the TOSOWOONG Makeon Waterproof Gel Pencil Liner in Cat's Eye Wild Black is actually a pretty great liner. It's smooth, ultra black and applies easily. It's also another full size product.
Su:um Blossom Garden Moisturizing Essence & Flawless Regenerating Essence | HERA Aquabolic Moisturizing Water and Emulsion
The Su:um Blossom Garden Moisturizing Essence & Flawless Regenerating Essence packets are a little bonus product, and as such I don't have any additional information about them. I will give them a try though, as an essence is a nice additional bit of hydration after cleansing.
The last official products in the box come in the form of the little deluxe samples of HERA Aquabolic Moisturizing Water and Emulsion. The tubes are pretty little, so I only expect to get 2, at the most three uses out of each.
Overall, I am loving Jini Beauty! You get a lot of variety and a great amount of full size product. I love that they offer boxes based on skin type and that they offer brands outside of the mainstream Korean brands most of us already know of. What do you think? Would you be interested in a Jini Beauty subscription?
