Live Without Leaks | Poise Impressa Bladder Supports Pt. 2

This post was sponsored by Poise Impressa as part of an Ambassador Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary product to facilitate my review.

You may remember this post, wherein we chatted about the new Poise Impress Bladder Supports. You do, right? If not, go give it a little skim. Done? Great! Since I already went over the mechanics, today is all about the actual wear. As we know, stress urinary incontinence (SUI) can effect one in four Canadian women, having an impact on self confidence and how much enjoyment you get out of like. That's a major bummer, especially around times that should be ahppy and worry-free (like the holidays!) I enlisted the help of two women in my life to test the Poise Impressa Bladder Supports so I can give you the rundown and decide if they're the right product for you.

Of the two women who tested Poise Impress Bladder Supports, one wasn't into them and one was a total fan. Dealing with SUI is obviously a very personal thing, so I give her props for being totally honest and saying she wasn't a fan of the product. As i don't have the condition, I didn't use the product, but the other tester I enlisted was very pleased with how the product worked for her.

For reference, the tester (we'll call her T) is 39, has two children, and has light leakage in 'stress' situations (like laughing, coughing, etc.) In the past, she's used period products for absorption but had never ventured into 'the real deal leakage products' as she didn't think she really needed them.

Poise Impressa Bladder Supports did change her mind though. While T said she likely wouldn't use the product daily, she loves knowing she can use one for occasions where her SUI may be triggered. As she said, it was a worry thinking she couldn't wear something or having to remember to be prepared, just inc case of a leak. Being worry free was something she really responded to, and the fact that the Starter Kit ($9.99 CAD) made it incredibly easy to find the right fit. She loved that she can pick them up over the counter at the drugstore whenever she shops.

T was impressed that for something that 'does look kind of massive' (I showed her the support outside of the applicator, as seen above) she was actually completely comfortable wearing it. 'I really didn't know what to expect, but once in, it's just there and nothing uncomfortable. I did find myself in a what could have been a leaky situation, and (the support) totally worked. It's easy to throu (them)in my bag and my husaband is none the wiser. Actually, he thought they were tampons, so he was extra nice. Win-Win!'

I am so happy that these worked for T As mentioned in my previous post, there have been few options for women, other than absorbent products. They fact that the Poise Impressa Bladder Supports work by putting light pressure on the urethra means they prevent leaks all together. It's a really ingenious product. For more stories from real women who have tested the product, be sure to check out Poise's site. It's a great way to connect and know you're not alone and there is nothing to feel ashamed about.
