Welcome back, blog fans! I'm officially back from my holiday blog-cation. While this isn't officially my first post of 2017, this week will have a bit of a resolutions theme. Granted, they may not all be typical resolutions, but whatever. Starting things off, we've got the 'wear more lipstick' resolution. It's not your average, but I like it! I can't take credit for it though, as I saw it pop up in my Instagram feed, but it stuck with me. Maybelline has some great lipstick options that don't break your budget, but offer up an array of enviable hues and finishes.

The Maybelline Colour Sensational range is always growing with new shades and ranges. This past fall we saw the Loaded Bolds which feature bold hues in traditional and more novelty type shades (think deep blues, black, and all the purples). For Spring 2017, matte nudes hit the shelves with the Inti-Matte Nudes, which feature warm nude shades for all skin tones.

The Inti-Matte Nudes have a soft-matte finish with a creamy formula that to me, is pretty much the same as the Creamy Mattes. It's easy fairly long-wearing, with a matte but not flat finish that is easy to wear without being drying. Of the ten shades in the range, I have Almond Rose (warm blush-rose) and Brown Blush (warm mauve) which are nice takes on nude without being typically tan nude shades.

The Loaded Bolds has a range of fun, new shades (as mentioned black, blue, and purples) with more typical shades in the mix as well. Of the twenty shades in the range, I have two of the more traditional shades with Mauve It (warm mauve) which looks very similar to Almond Rose but with a touch more pink and a satin finish. Smoking Red (deep brown based red) is my new go-to shade with a satin-matte finish.

Overall, you really can't miss with these shades! Maybelline does tend to do lipstick well, but there can be the odd shade that just doesn't live up to the rest of the range. What do you think? Would you wear any of these shades? Did you make any resolutions this year?
