I doubt you need me to tell you this, but the world isn't exactly doing so well. Between wars, rampant hatred, the orange one, and a general lack of empathy for one another, there is a lot of room for improvement. That said, there are some amazing things that make it all worth while. And incredible people working to make the world a bit better for all. L'Occitane is part of that group, and has recently launched this year's Solidarity Balm.
L'Occitane's limited edition Solidarity Balm is a do-it all balm that works to moisturize lips and body with a sweet violet scent (yup, it's violet this year!) It features the brand's famous shea butter, which has been used for centuries by West African Women to soften and protect hair and skin. L'Occitane sources their shea sustainably, via a fair-trade partnership with over 17,000 female entrepreneurs in the country of Burkina Faso (a partnership 31 years in the running.)
The balms is a handy little work-horse (you can literally use it anywhere) but also gives back as 100% of the proceeds go to The UN Women Fund for Gender Equality to support women's leadership. You can pick up your tin now, in time for National Women's Day on March 8th. Snag a few though, they make excellent little gifts for all the women in your life!
