Lip Lovin' | Rimmel The Only One Matte Lipstick

We're talking lipstick! I don't think I will ever tire of the appeal of a fresh tube of lipstick... It will be a very sad day if it ever comes to that. Luckily, I've still got the love for everything lip, which now includes Rimmel The Only One Matte Lipsticks. They're surprisingly great!

Matte lipsticks can be fickle, with drugstore options being... Well, they're not always the best choice. There is no fear (and no sandpaper lips) to be had with Rimmel The Only One Matte Lipsticks.
Housed in all red tubes with colour coded bands to tell shades apart, the bullets feature a flat cut. I'm torn as to what to think about flat cut lipsticks, sometimes they're perfect and other times they hinder application... Anyway, the matte formula is easy wearing as it does have some creaminess to it and doesn't continue to dry with wear. My only true dislike with these is the watermelon scent. As much as I hate it, I appreciate that these have no flavour and that the scent doesn't linger.

Of the ten shades currently in the range, I've got:
  • Salute: natural pink
  • Keep it Coral: peachy-coral (a little patchy, needs a few passes)
  • Take the Stage: true red
  • The Matte Factor: berry-red
  • Look Who's Talking: red-based brown

Overall, I've been loving these lipsticks! Salute and Look Who's Talking, specifically. They all boast a perfectly pigmented and opaque coverage and wear for a few hours (4-5) without needing any touch ups (unless eating.) I do find the red tones to stain a bit, but I quite like that. What do you think? Need more matte lipstick in your life?
