Congrats! You've made it to the end of another week. Go you! As it is Friday, we're talking skincare. I don't know how Friday came to be my main skincare day, but it just works. Up for discussion today, is a little duo from Acure in the form of their Brightening Facial Scrub & Mask. They'll make you momentarily look like a sea-creature, but do bring out your natural glow.

First up, the Brightening Facial Scrub. Both the scrub and the mask feature argan stem cell and chlorella and share a minty scent thanks to spearmint leaf extract, but the scrub brings gentle exfoliation to the party. Featuring sea kelp, lemon peel, French clay and a host of other organic ingredients this scrub works to exfoliate and brighten while also gently cleansing away excess oil. I find this mask is a bit messy when first applying, as you get little crumblies of green bits as you massage, but it's not too terrible (stay over the sink!) The effect is amazing, as this is quite gentle in terms of abrasiveness, but still leaves skin feeling well exfoliated, brightened, and super smooth with zero tight feeling.

Ingredients: water, aloe barbadensis leaf juice*, euterpe oleracea (acai) fruit extract*, rubus fruticosus (blackberry) fruit extract*, rosa canina (rosehips) fruit extract*, punica granatum  (pomegranate) fruit extract*, calendula officinalis (calendula) flower extract*, matricaria recutita (chamomile) flower extract*, aspalathus linearis (rooibos) leaf extract*, vegetable glycerin, sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, juglans reglia (walnut shell) flour, kaolin (french green) clay, sodium lauroamphoacetate, sodium PCA, sodium lauroyl lactylate, citrus limon (lemon) peel granules, glyceryl Laurate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, cellulose gum, glucono delta lactone, chlorophyll, chrondus crispus extract, potassium sorbate, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, argania spinosa (argan) culture extract, chlorella vulgaris extract, salvia officinalis (sage) leaf extract, mentha spicata (spearmint) leaf extract, laminaria digitata (kelp) powder, lilium candidum leaf (madonna leaf) culture extract  *organic ingredient

You know how it always seems the face mask portrayed in movies/cartoons and the like are always the most unappealing green hue? s a beauty fan I'm always left thinking that none of my masks look even remotely like that, but now I've got one. The Brightening Facial Mask is a sea-monster green (the brand totally knows, they mention it on the tube) but it's so good you won't even mind looking Shrek-y. The formula, again, features argan stem cell exract and chlorella, with the addition of French green clay, Moroccan argan oil,and CoQ10 to purify skin and provide moisture. Unlike typical clay masks, the blend of extracts makes it a great option for drier skin as it leaves skin feeling balanced and even without any tightness and of course, brighter and revived.

Overall, two excellent skincare options from Acure! I am always a fan of scrubs and masks, but these are well worth the space in your routine. I love that the scrub is gentle enough to use every few days, and that the mask is easy on my dryer skin. The combination of both makes for super happy skin that is radiant, smooth, and more even looking. What do you think? Would your skin appreciate either of these products?
