Blush Love | Mary Kay Beauty That Counts Baked Cheek Powder

mary kay beauty that counts beaked cheek powder kind heart giving heart (3)::: press sample :::

I think quite a few of us have a soft spot for blush. How can you not, really? Little pans of glorious colour to uplift, and if you're lucky, add a little glow to your look. Make that blush cute and it's even better. Mary Kay has done just that and taken what would have been a great blush and made it extra covetable with their incredibly cute Beauty That Counts Baked Cheek Powder.

Yup. They're heart shaped! The Mary Kay Beauty That Counts Baked Cheek Powders bring the cute, but in a more refined, gown-up lady kind of way. I like that from the outside, the compact looks unassuming; just a basic product. When you open it though... straight up cuteness. The compacts are all black, with a domed shape and a fairly light-weight feel. There is no mirror, but that really isn't an issue for me.

More on the blush in just a second... First up, the fact that this cutie is more than just blush. It's a blush that gives back. Each purchase of a Beauty that Counts Baked Cheek Powder (from May 16th to August 15th, 2017) provides a donation ($2 in Canada, $1 in the United States) to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation. The foundation works to help women and children in need through partnerships with Look Good Feel Better and to help end violence against women by providing grants to women's shelters and community outreach programs

Okay, now that we know these blushes do some good, we can get to how good they look. The baked mineral blushes offer a sheer but buildable wash of radiant colour. They have a soft shimmer which reads as a soft glow on skin. Kind Heart offers a peachy hue, while Giving Heart gives a pretty pink flush. Mary Kay even suggests blending the two shades for a custom colour, which is a great idea for a peachy-pink flush. Everyone looks good in peachy-pink.

Overall, these are great blushes! I love the look of these as they diffuse so nicely on the skin, and are the kind of blush that is near impossible to overdo. Plus, they are great for an easy summer face- just a bit of blush for colour and radiance. What do you think? Could you use either of these shades in your makeup bag?
