The Fast Five | Drugstore Deals

the fast five drugstore deals::: press sample / affiliate links :::

It's (finally) the end of the week, and today, we're talking drugstore finds. High-end hauls are fun, but I find I get just as much enjoyment from little, budget-friendly finds. A stroll through the drugstore can be a beautiful thing. So, if you're looking for some inspiration for your next trip, read on!

Lip isn't so much a beauty purchase, it's a necessity. Burt's Bees Flavour Crystals Lip Balms in Sweet Orange & Red Raspberry are making the daily balm application a bit sweeter. The balms feature little flavour crystals to give a burst of fresh fruit flavour. They smell incredible (like popsicles!) but to me, there is only a hint of actual flavour. They're formulated with beeswax, coconut oil, and vitamin e to offer a decent bit of hydration.

I LOVE my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, so I am always interested to see what the brand will add to the range. They have a few new styles beyond the original, including the Real Techniques Mini Eraser Sponges. Sold in a two pack, the sponges are marketed as being a tool for clean up, as RT says "Six ways to erase: sweep away under eyeshadow fallout, wipe away liner gone wrong, pick up brow product fallout, wipe away mascara smudges, pick up over applied shadow & blend away too much blush or highlighter"

But, I quite like them for applying concealer and setting powder under the eyes. The various edges and shapes on the little egg-like sponge works well for getting right into small areas and these have the perfect sponge texture when used damp.

I was really excited to see the release of the EcoTools Muslin Polishing Cloths, as I'm a believer that you can never have too many. Muslin cloths are great for makeup removal and cleaning, as their light texture naturally exfoliates and is easy to rinse clean. I especially like that I can use a muslin cloth twice as it dries so quickly it doesn't get icky in the warmer moths. less laundry is great. The EcoTools muslins come in a two pack, feature organic cotton and they're packaged in a reusable pouch (complete with air holes to facilitate drying) should you need them for on the go or travel.

For a quick brow pick-me-up, the Rimmel Brow This Way Highlighting Brow Pencil offers a light-reflecting finish to add light and lift under / around brows. I really like that this pencil isn't too radiant or shimmery, so it does give a more natural lifted look. The creamy formula will also work on the face and round the eyes to give a subtle glow and more wide awake look.

As much as I like my nails to look great, they take a beating on the regular. 7th Heaven (formerly Montagne Jeunesse) Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques are a 15 minute treatment for nails that can erase a bit of the damage. Formulated with argan and macadamia oils and antioxidant rich pomegranate, the masques are dry to the touch as the serum is contained with little slip on finger covers. I love that these hydrate well and there is no oily feel once you remove them.

Overall, some useful additions to any beauty routine. What do you think?Anything you need next time you're at the drugstore?
