The Makeup Shake Up | Arbonne Makeup

arbonne makeup shake up (2)::: press sample :::

Even if you have the most sizeable of makeup collections, there comes a time every so often when you just need something new. A little something to refresh your love of all things makeup. The makeup shake up, if you will. Arbonne is just the brand to look to as they've recently revamped their products which includes a few new bits too. New is good.

arbonne real conceal liquid concealer fair light

Concealer is a staple product, in my opinion, which means you can never have too many options. The Real Conceal Liquid Concealer happens to be a particularly great one. With a lightweight, hydrating, and buildable formula it offers a lot of coverage (just shy of full) it works beautifully to cover imperfections and pesky dark circles. If you read on, you'll see Fair in action a bit later in the post.

When it comes to finishing makeup, it's brow products I actually get to the end of on the regular. As such, extra bro options are great. Arbonne offers a full range of brow necessities, starting with their Shape It Up Brow Pencil. I use shade Dark, which works very well on my black brows. The .waxier pencil makes it hard to over-do as you get softer, less intense lines. Complete with a spoolie on the opposite end, it works as a one-and-done product.

Buuut, it also works when paired with the Eyebrow Gel. If you've got stubborn brows, or need your pencil to last all day, guaranteed, then the clear gel works perfectly for setting. It's perfectly clear, and dries to a firm but natural finish with no crunch of sticky feel.

If you need a bit more than clear, the Shape It Up Tinted Brow Cream adds a bit of volume to brows with tint and hold. The cream pairs very well with the brow pencil for a naturally filled in a set brow and the tiny little brush makes for fast and fuss-free application. See it (and the brow pencil) in action a little later in the post.

And now, a bit of colour. Arbonne has a selection of new shades in their It's All in the Eyes Eye Shadow range which are very collectable with a great formula and their single pan format. The pans are magnetic, making them easily stashed in any palette. Available in three finishes- matte, satin, and shimmer- the range is full of neutrals and super wearable shades. I was very impressed with their pigmentation and ease of use- they blend with ease and build up when you need more pow.

Of the current shades, I used Quartz (warm pink matte), Solar (golden-yellow shimmer), Forest (antique green shimmer) and Sequoia (red-brown shimmer) to create the look above. Everything (save for the liquid liner and lashes- House of Lashes Siren, btw) is Arbonne. I used Quartz through the upper part of my crease as a transition, Solar through the first half of my lid followed by Sequoia. After applying a smudge of Sage liner, I blended it out with the Forest shadow. The look is more autumnal than I expected, but I quite like the combination.

arbonne fine line pencil liner sage

Last up, the liner I just mentioned- It's a Fine Line Pencil Eye Liner in Sage. I first tried these liners when they launched, and I have to say I didn't love their stiffer formula. I'm thinking these got a bit of a formula makeover with the brand's revamp, as this applied so much better. The formula is long-wearing and stays put all day until removal. The Sage shade is a dirty, greyed-green that wears as a neutral more than a pop of colour.

Overall, some really great additions to any makeup bag. I am particularly fond of the concealer and brow cream which have become everyday staples for me already. What do you think? Could your routine use any switch ups? Tried any of these products?
