Canada is a great place to call home, but (you knew there was a but right?) not everything is accessible here. I know, we live in an internet age, where a few clicks can get you just about anything. Sure, if you live in the USA. There is a magical line between the US and Canada that makes shipping things here either impossible or outrageously expensive. Things like Pixi Beauty. Luckily, beauty fans don't have to scour the internet for their Pixi fix as the brand is now available at Shoppers Drug Mart! Exciting times, right?!

Okay, so news about Pixi at SDM isn't exactly new, but it's still pretty exciting. Pixi has also launched a Canadian edition of their site, meaning you can easily order from your couch, in your pjs, with a cat in your lap (not that I just did or anything...) All that means you can finally see just how amazing the cult fave Skintreats Glow Tonic is.  I've been itching to try this for literally year, but was stymied by duties, exorbitant shipping costs, and a whole bevy of sites that just wouldn't ship here.

Anyway, the Glow Tonic is a toner formulated with 5% glycolic acid to exfoliate, brighten, and smooth skin for a glowing effect. Free of alcohol, and safe for all skin types, it also features aloe vera, ginsing, and added botanical extracts to nourish and treat skin.

pixi mesmerizing mineral palette plum quartz

It's not often you find a decent eyeshadow palette for less than $20, but the Mesmerizing Minerals Eyeshadow Palette in Plum Quartz is bringing budget shadow to the masses. Available in six shade options, the Plum Quartz palette offers a range of plummy-purple shades. With a mix of light and deep shades, you get enough range to create a full look with just this palette but they are mostly shimmers (there is one satin-almost matte.) The mineral formula is talc-free, and offers a pretty pigmented finish. The shimmers are quite buttery and smooth, but the stain-matte is a bit stiffer feeling.

I have mixed feelings about plumping gloss formula- sure, I'd like a bit of plump, but I don't want all the stinging and burning, you know? There is nothing to worry about with the LipLift Max Glossy Lip Plumper. The gel-gloss formula gives lips a hint of plump and a volumized look, with a nourishing formula containing peptides, aloe, jojoba and chamomile to hydrate, heal, and soothe. The gloss is minty, but not overly strong and has no burning or tingling sensation on lips. Sheer Rose offers a sheer, but nicely visible wash of rosy-mauve colour that wears as easily as a balm.

pixi black cocoa endless silky eye pen

I have no time for terrible eyeliner. If it's stiff, dry, and hard to use I can't be bothered. The Endless Silky Eye Pen is none of those things, and is instead one of the best liners. Like, ever. The formula is crazy smooth, pigmented, and flows on skin like butter (like buttah! While they apply so buttery, they do set to a waterproof, last-add-day, budge-proof finish. There are currently 19 shades available, and I'm on a mission to add most of them to my collection. They are just that good (and rival pencils twice the price.) Black Cocoa is a deep, blackened brown that makes for a perfect everyday shade.

Overall, I have to say I am very pleased with my Pixi experience and am LOVING the fact that they are now so easily accessed in Canada. What do you think? Are you a Pixi fan? Have any product recommendations I just need to try next?
