There has been a lot of glitter talk around these parts the past few days and I've got to say there is going to be a little bit more. Although, it does take on a different form with the limited edition Glam Celebration Collection from Lise Watier, with glittering packaging (that is oh-so enticing) and the most stunning metallic pigments. Add a selection of gorgeous red lipsticks and a smokey palette and it's holiday glitz gone sophisticated in the best ways.

It seems only right to start with the star of the collection... The Glam Pigments in Superstar & Fireworks. Not only do the weighty glass pots feature super blingy glittering tops (emblazoned with a signature Watier W, of course) but the insides are pure perfection. Seriously, these are all I want to wear because they are just so damn gorgeous!

The formula that of a semi-pressed loose pigment with a super creamy, richly pigmented, and ultra metallic finish. Superstar offers a warm, almost bronzed gold with a shot of rose, while Fireworks has a cranberry-pink hue with a hint of lavender-pink shift. Both are intensely metallic (even when applied dry) and with a chromatic shimmer. These also happen to wear just as beautifully as they look, and stand up on eyes all day without shimmer flaking off or becoming dull.

An ethereal glow is never a bad idea, and it just happens to be a mere brushstroke (or pouf) away with the Poudre Glam Face & Body Powder. The super silky, lightweight, loose powder features a soft peachy-gold radiance that gives an 'iridescent veil effect' on skin that is just enough to be detectable, but refined and not glittery. Basically, you'll want to powder all your bits with it for an angelic glow.

I will admit that I don't wear red lipstick as often as I should, but when it comes to the holiday season, it just seems like such a must-have shade. LW has the right idea and is offering up three gorgeous takes on a classic red lip in the Rouge Intense Supreme Lipsticks. Packaged in a sleek, magnetic tube the formula is all about pigment and opacity (in one swipe, at that) featuring the exclusive antioxidant properties of Labrador tea extract for smooth and comfortable wear.

Grace is a slightly orange-based take on a classic red shade, while Naomi has a more pink leaning cherry shade, with Sophia offing a deep, plum-red shade. Each shade offers a bit of shine and does stain lips. I'm a terrible touch up-er (meaning I don't tend to remember to) so I appreciate the stain effect.

Wrapping thing up (holiday pun!) with the Smokey Nudes 12 Colour Eyeshadow Palette. I know, does anyone really need another 'nude' palette? In this case, kind of, since Ms. Watier has created a more interesting nude palette that lends itself to smoldering smokey looks. Plus, her creamy powder formula is all kinds of amazing. I mean, you know they're powders, but they feel like creams with perfect pigmentation and easy application.

The palette is weighty in hand, with a solid, durable feel. The outer packaging is refined in design, with silvery tones and a signature W designed to resemble argyle. The interior is home to the shadows (obviously) but also a full size mirror and a dual ended brush that you'll actually want to use. It features a sponge tip on one end (that is actually useful for patting on shimmery shades) and a blending brush on the other that is surprisingly soft and great for crease application.

The matte formula is just about as perfect as anyone could want. Seriously, these are very smooth, no chalky or powdery feel and they blend gorgeously without ever getting muddy or too washed out. The mattes really make this palette worth picking up. The top row of the twelve shade palette is home to six mattes:
  • Nuit Blanche: soft cream matte
  • DJ: medium milk chocolate brown matte
  • Stiletto: lavender-taupe matte
  • Guest List: dusty rose matte
  • Smoke: soft blue-grey matte
  • Night Club:dusty chocolate-brown matte

The satin-shimmer formula is just as gorgeous, but as expected, the shades have a range of shimmer within ranging from subtle satin to more glitzy shimmer. The bottom row features six satin-shimmers:
  • Spotlight: soft beige with a light shimmer finish
  • Champagne: pale pink champagne with a light shimmer finish
  • Dance Floor: lavender-silver shimmer
  • Lounge: dirty antique green-gold satin-shimmer
  • Carbone: cool charcoal grey satin
  • Nocturne: bold deep blue shimmer

Overall, a really gorgeous collection, and if you can believe it, does have a few more pieces. There is a stunning blush duo, eyeliners, nail polishes... They are definitely worth checking out online or in person at Shoppers Drug Mart stores within Canada. While none of the products disappoint, I am absolutely obsessed with the Glam Pigments and highly recommend snagging them while you can. What do you think? Are there any items in this collections calling your name?
