Build a Better Lip Wardrobe with Lise Watier

lise watier lip wardrobe::: press sample :::

Spring is slowly starting to come around... Even if we're still dealing with record breaking cold, it does feel like winter is starting to fade away. I know my urge to spring clean has sprung up already, and this year I'm doing a full on beauty purge. I've done my mascara drawer (proof I probably had too many if they needed their own drawer, right?) concealer and cream shadow drawers too, Lipsticks are next, which is perfect timing because the new lip goodies from Lise Watier are so good. Scratch that. SO. GOOD. that they're going to be in constant rotation.

When building a lip wardrobe, one immediately thinks of the actual lipstick first. It's only natural, but lip liner is definitely an essential in a well rounded collection. Especially when it's a liner as impressive as the new Lip Designer Contour & Fill Liners. Available in six shades (with plenty of neutrals) these are super smooth, pigmented, and creamy but set to a super long-lasting, waterproof finish. LW claims it should last eight hours and I fully agree- it just keeps on wearing. The end of the pencils also include a little brush, which is nice for fully filling in lips as you can blend out the liner easily.

I know this is a pointless query, but who loves a neutral lip? Me too. The Rouge Gourmand 'The Nudes' lineup is now a little bigger, as its got four new, gorgeous additions. As you've deduced, the range is nothing but nudes, but the shades aren't your basic tans and beige kind of nude. Instead, you get the prettiest palette of pink, peach, and rosy neutrals like Cotton Candy (neutral baby pink) Peach Crumble (peachy-nude) and Panna Cotta (rosy-brown).

What's better than the shades however, is the formula. The Rouge Gourmand formula is a delight to wear as it features what LW calls their 'Maxi-Lip' complex that works to increase lip volume while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with a super comfortable, hydrating finish. basically, this is a lip perfecting formula that wears as easily as a balm.

The core Rouge Gourmand range has a new shade addition with Acai Berry. The shade looks super deep in tube, but isn't as full-on on the lips. Instead, you get a beet-like red-purple. So pretty!

Okay, rember when I said how easy wearing the Rouge Gourmand lipsticks are? Forget the for a moment, because the Rouge Fondant Supreme might just be even better. The formula is the perfect option for those who don't like the sometimes heavy feel of lipstick or the often tacky feel of gloss. With a formula infused with concentrated Labrador tea extract (a potent anti-oxidant) this lipstick glides on like silk with a glossy finish that leaves lips softened and very nicely hydrated. Again, a lipstick that feels like a balm

Two shades were added to the range with the Urban Velocity Collection- Chloe (soft pink with subtle shimmer) and Chloe (soft orchid-purple). Both shades are a little lighter in opacity than other shades I've tried from this range, but when combined with their glossy finish, make for easy Spring shades that are nothing but pretty on the lips.

Overall, some really gorgeous looking and feeling lip products! You really can't miss with Lise Watier when it comes to lipsticks, but I am especially loving these additions to the brand. What do you think? Could your lip stash use any of these options?
