The Clean Team | Neutrogena Cleansing Wipes

The humble cleansing wipe (or cloth, towelette... whatever). It never used to be a staple in my routine, but when it comes to getting makeup off post-clean (a la the double cleanse method) they get the job done quickly, and can be essential in your 'I'm too tired for my whole routine' routine, which we all should have. It never hurts to have a backup plan. Neutrogena is proving they're your go-to brand with an impressive selection of options.

neutrogena all in one cleansing wipes (1)

The original All-in-One Makeup Removing Cloths are said to be the number one choice of makeup artists, which sounds quite promising if true, right? Anyway, they're the do-it-all cloth that is safe to remove face, eye, and lip makeup and are formulated to be safe on sensitive skin and eyes withou oil and alcohol. The wipes easily remove makeup, but I don't find they live up to the task of breaking down water-proof mascara (even though Neutrogena claims they can.)

neutrogena hydrating cleansing wipes (2)

If you're being extra lazy (no judgement, we've all been there) and know there will be no double in your cleanse, the Hydrating Make Up Removing Cleansing Wipes offer up a little bit more in the way of a skin-pampering formula that features aloe and cucumber extract to leave skin feeling a little hydrated after use. Like the All-in-One formula, these work for all of your face, eye, and lip cleansing needs.

neutrogena night calming cleansing wipes (3)

Stress got you down? Well, these might just be the wipes for you. Okay, the Night Calming Make Up Removing Cleansing Wipes may not solve all your troubles (whaaat?!) but they do feature a "unique calming fragrance"  that "helps you unwind and prepares you for a good night's sleep" Yeah, not so much, but they have a light, floral-y clean fragrance happening. I expected something more lavender-based, but it's much more subtle than that. Clearly, fragrance-sensitive may want to steer clear, but these do work for removing face, eye, and lip products on everyone else.

neutrogena pink grapefruit cleansing wipes (4)

Last up on our cleansing wipe journey (and yes, Neutrogena does offer even more wipe varieties than these four) a little something for those dealing with acne. Ugh, it sucks but you do what you've gotta do. The Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes are the only option of this batch that contain alcohol, but it's in combination with salicylic acid and 100% naturally derived pink grapefruit extra (it smells so good!) to combat excess oil and sebum. That said, you definitely DO NOT want to use these on the eyes and stick to facial cleansing.

Overall, I love that these wipes work really well to remove a day's worth of makeup and that they cater to a bunch of skin needs. My favourite formula? The original (you can't beat them) but if I'm not going to be following up with a proper cleanse (it's rare, but does happen) I love the added benefit of the Hydrating wipes. Are cleansing wipes a part of your beauty routine? Tried these or want to? What is you go-to brand?
