Ah, Spring... much like the rich jewel tones we come to expect in autumn, Spring brings us florals. Even though they always make their comeback (insert that movie quote here) you can't help but look forward to a little floral after a dreary winter. The Givenchy Couture Edition for Spring 2018 brings a lush dark floral packaging that is utterly swoon-worthy.

The Coture Edition collection features two products, but really, it's the lipstick that really deserves the most attention. The Couture Edition Limited Edition Le Rouge has a leather wrapped tube features the dark floral print and silver classic Givenchy detailing. It's a weighty tube with that luxe feel that gives touch-ups a little extra glam appeal. You know the one.

The shade, Framboise Velours is, as the name implies so perfectly, a raspberry shade with a semi-matte, satin finish. The shade leans a bit more pink or red depending on the light, but is all around very pretty and so Spring-y. The formula is richly pigmented, opaque, and so easy to wear. It's creamy, super smooth, and glides on lips like... butter. It's easy on lips and fades away beautifully (even sans lip liner) with a bit of a stain. While the Couture Edition tube is limited, the shade isn't, as it is also available in the core Le Rouge range.

The second product given the Couture clothing is a little less interesting, but nonetheless a nice product to have in your arsenal. The Couture Edition Limited Edition Prisme Libre features the same dark floral print, although this time in faux leather, and a few little floral details on the powder puff since no detail is too small.

The loose powder in shade Mousseline Pastel (one four shade in the range) works to colour correct with four complimentary, translucent shades that create a naturally enhanced finish on skin. The overall finish is natural-matte, but the four shades add a brightened, radiant look to skin while keeping shine at bay. The texture is gorgeous and leaves skin feeling silky with no powdery cast.

Overall, some very pretty LE packaging. I love that both products are also in the core line up, meaning you're not stuck with no way to replace them should they become must haves. What do you think? Are you a fan of limited edition packaging?
