The season are changing, although, they really don't know what they're doing. Is it fall? Mostly. Is it winter? Yeah, a little bit of that too. As you may know, Canadian autumns can be a blink and you miss it type of affair. Regardless, my skin is already heading into winter mode with the onset of dryness. Well, it's always prone to dryness, but you know, extra dryness. I'm ready though, as I just happen to have the Avon Anew Hydra Fusion range that is all about lasting hydration.

The range is currently home to four products, although there is shower mask in the works (yet to be released, I think...) all with the main goal of providing not only hydration, but long-lasting hydration. Hyaluronic acid and raspberry antioxidant are the stars of the show which as a duo work to 'infuse skin with instant, deep and lasting hydration + defend it from environmental stressors.'

avon anew hydra fusion serum

So, let's start at the start, with serum (duh). The Hydra Fusion Replenishing Serum is a has a gel texture, but not just any gel... It's infused with over 10,000 microbubbles which act as a delivery system of a pure form of raspberry antioxidant. Raspberry antioxidant is a main ingredient in the entirety of the range, but is the super star of the serum and works to defend the skin from environmental stressors. The serum is lightweight, with an almost wet feel, that absorbs incredibly quickly.

Okay, serum's on, moisturizer is clearly the next step. The Hydra Fusion Gel Cream is formulated to build on the efficacy of the serum. The lightweight gel-cream gives skin an quick hydration boost, that is rather impressive for such a light formula. Avon claims that it is able to provide 72 hours of 'long-lasting hydration' which might be a stretch (and was not tested by me...) but does suit my dry skin for the day without feeling like I need another moisturizer. That said, Avon claims this can be both am am and pm moisturizer, but I feel like those with dry skin might want to layer with an oil at night for maximum moisture.

avon anew hydra fusion eye serum

Eyes are treated to what works as a great morning eye cream option with the Hydra Fusion De-Puffing Eye Serum. The lightweight, yet surprisingly hydrating (words that fit all of these products, actually) eye cream features the same key ingredients as the rest of the range, but with the addition of caffeine to depuff and perk up the look of tires eyes. The tube also includes a ceramic tip to add a cooling effect to aid in the action.

avon anew hydra fusion micellar water

Of course, makeup removal is just as important a step as the actual skincare, for which the Hydra Fusion Cleansing Micellar Water has you covered. The formula doesn't contain hyaluronic acid and raspberry antioxidant like the rest of the range, but is still formulated to act as a hydrating makeup remover. Formulated with panthenol for enhanced hydration and tocopheryl acetate (a vitamin e) for added antioxidant benefits. The miceller works perfectly to melt away makeup and requires no tugging or scrubbing to actually remove eye makeup.

Overall, I have been really pleased with this range. Surprisingly, the eye cream has really been a favourite, but as a whole, I can't complain about any of the products. I love that they have light feeling formulas, but do give my drier skin the hydration I need to get through the day. That said, I will add in heavier evening formulas to see me through the winter, as I can get very dry. What do you think? Interested in trying any of these products?
