Some years, the Pantone Colour of the year just doesn't vibe well with the beauty world. Then, we get a years like 2019's Living Coral which, just couldn't be better. Coral is one of those shades that casts such a wide net that there is a take that suits just about everyone. That pink-orange-red mix is just so hard to resist. But really, why would you?

Shiseido InnerGlow CheekPowder in Alpen Glow 4 g $29 USD / $40 CAD | Sothy's Radiance Blush in Rose Estival 9 g $52.95 CAD
Especially when it comes to blushes. I don't always go crazy for coral lip colours, but give me a coral blush and we can be best friends for a while. If corals are your calling, then the Shiseido InnerGlow CheekPowder in Alpen Glow offers a natural flush with a satiny-matte finish. The shade looks a little peachy in the pan, and almost subdued, but once applied gives a gorgeous true coral wash of colour.
The Sothy's summer collection has recently landed and it too dips a toe in the coral blush pool. The Sothy's Radiance Blush in Rose Estival is a stunning rosy-coral with a golden radiance. It gives skin the perfect summery pop and golden lit-from-within glow. While it looks like a more bold coral in the pan, it has a really beautiful translucency on skin that allows you to go sheer or more full-on.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Coral 4.3 g $24 USD / $ CAD | Burt's Bees Liquid Lipstick in Coral Cove 5.95 g $9.99 USD / $ CAD
Is it wrong to love an expensive lip balm? The Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment is (if we're being honest) a little pricier than it needs to be, but it just doesn't stop me from loving them. The range is home to an impressive array of shades, but clearly it's Coral we're after today. The hydrating balm gives lips a sheer, but nicely visible wash of (you guessed it) coral colour and some shine with the signature lemon-sugar scent.
For a little more va-va-coral, the Burt's Bees Liquid Lipstick in Coral Cove gives lips a slightly muted coral hue with the finest golden sheen with a shiny finish. Though these are liquid lipsticks, they're that in the literal sense, a not a drys-matte-and-never-budges type of liquid lipstick. The formula is easy wearing, non-drying, and for a glossy finish, stays on pretty well for a few hours. I do find less is more, as a heavy handed application can result in product migrating to the corners of the lips.

If you're just not one to physically wear coral, you can still indulge with a little packaging. That totally counts, right? The Rodial Dragon's Blood Neck & Decollete comes housed in the prettiest coral all while offering up some anti-aging love to the real-estate under your face. The Dragon's Blood formula works to lift, fill, and plump the neck and decollete while reducing the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and crepey skin. This product is more like a serum, and is best when paired with a moisturizer, which is especially great if you're like me and are perpetually dry. The hyaluronic acid in this means you'll get the most out of your moisturizer at the same time. A win win, really.

And that is that. Five products to give your routine a little shot of coral. Are you a coral fan? Have you added any new coral products into your routine / life lately?
