Have you ever bought something only to get home and then totally regret it? I totally had that happen with these eyeshadows. I totally regret only buying two. I spotted these on half off while browsing and thought I'd keep things in check and only get two- I mean, how much eyeshadow can one person use?
I so have to get a few more now, they are just that great! I should add that the two shades I picked up are Hourglass Beige and Permanent Kaki. I figured it was best to get two shades that complimented each other so I could use them together.
These shadows are unique in the fact that they are hybrids of loose and pressed eyeshadows. They are packaged in a pot (much like a loose shadow) but they are kept compact by a little stopper that you are meant to keep. I suppose over time the shadow would loosen without it.
Hourglass Beige is a shimmery/frosted vanilla shade. It can be used as a highlight, or when you're feeling lazy: apply a thick bold (or deep) liner across top lash line, follow with a light sweep of Hourglass Beige and give it a bit of a smudge. Voila! I've been wearing that all week. I love how easy it is. Navy blue, brown and plum have been my go to liner colours.
Permanent Kaki is a mid tone green. It has a hint of a gray tone, but isn't a full on khaki colour. It looks great in the crease in combination with Hourglass Beige.
Both of these shadows are super pigmented and apply like butter. The only issue I had with these is that they do crease with out a primer. They do claim that they will last 24 hours, but I only get a few (read 3-4) before they start to crease on me. That said, a bit of primer and they last like nobody's business.
I really love these shadows! Like I said, I got mine at half off, but even at their regular price $10-12 they are so worth it. I have my eye on Endless Chocolat and Forever Pink next. To see all the shades look here.
Have you tried these? What did you think of them?
I agree with you 100%. I have 9 of them and want to complete the set. I am not a big eyeshadow girl, but these are wonderful. But yes, they do crease and fade without a primer.
ReplyDeleteI have the navy shade in this line, I wish I had've bought these colours instead! The khaki is so beautiful, obsessed with greens for eyes at the moment.
