Cream eyeshadows haven't always been a favourite of mine. They always look so appealing, but you never can be sure if they're going to set or stay creamy and end up being a creasy mess. That said, in the past few years, I've come across a few that I

Smashbox's new Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Eyeshadow are available in twelve shades. I was hard pressed to pick just one, but I wanted to try one before I
I've been wearing this shade either as is with a bit of brown liner, or with a chocolate brown shadow in the outer v/crease. The cream shadows apply and blend with ease and you can also apply powder shadow over them with ease. No sticky, blending issues at all. I can't say if they wear for a full 15 hours, but I did get a full 9 with no creasing at all. Good stuff in my book.

The pot looked a bit familiar to me... Upon further inspection it seems the pots are almost identical to MAC Paint Pot pots. The only true difference is the lid. Paint Pots sell for $21 CAD and the Smashbox sell for $19 USD and each are the same size, weighing in at 5g. Smashbox curently has the slight advantage, I'd say, as their shades are not limited edition, giving you way more colour options than MAC. At the moment MAC has nine shades available, all neutral tones and variations of brown.

I tend to stick with more neutral toned cream shadows so I can get the most wear out of them since they won't last as near as long as a powder shadow. Because of this, it's easy to end up with four shades that all look the same. Like owning MAC Painterly and Nubile (so not necessary, but I do.) I know the swatch is not so stellar, but the varying degrees of shimmer made it quite hard to capture a colour accurate photo. As you can see Rubenesque is much more peach toned, Nubile has only the tiniest hint of shimmer and is a nude shade. RSVP and Quartz, do have similarities, but in person RSVP is more of a peachy champagne tone, while Quartz leans rose.
I know I'll be adding a few other shades of the Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Eyeshadows to my collection. Have you tried them yet? What shades do you like?
Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThese are super pretty colors, I tend to stick to neutral eyeshadows and I'm loooving the smashbox one.
