Hello, blog fans! As you might have noticed I took a little getaway. I had a job interview that (from my view of things) went remarkably well. I was on a high. Fast forward two weeks and no call back... I was feeling a bit down to say the least. Not a full I-Heart-Huckabees style existential crisis, but I wasn't feeling my best. But, the pity party is over, and it's time to get to a bunch of fun products just waiting to get some attention.

If you read many blogs, chances are you've seen A England's gorgeous polishes. Most of them have a holographic flair, which only ups their luster factor. While they were available directly from A England, shipping was a bit hefty, so I opted to wait it out. My waiting was so worth it, since Nail Polish Canada (no lies, my first place to look for polish, I LOVE them!) recently starting carrying the brand. I was lucky enough to get in on the early sale and picked three gems: Princess Sabra, Saint George, and Tristam.
A England Princess Sabra
A England Princess Sabra
Princess Sabra is n interesting shade, with an olive tinged gold look overall, but is so much more. There are flashes of silver, bronze and blue/green. The formula of this shade was thinner than the others, but it still applied easily. This was three thin coats.
A England Saint George

Saint George is a deep teal with blue and green flair. Unlike Princess Sabra, this applied so opaquely with one coat it was pretty amazing. I used two for good measure. While the formula is opaque, the polish texture isn't thick or hard to apply; this is one perfect polish!
A England Tristam
A England Tristam
Tristam is described as being a "sparkling night sky" and it is spot on. With a deep blue base, packed with holographic shimmer that glows from within. While I'm super happy with all the shades I've picked up so far, I'd have to say that Tristam is my fave.
At $13.50 CAD these polishes are a bit on the pricey side, but the colours are quite unique and the formula is pretty fantastic that I can say I'm a fan. I know there are a few more on my want list, and I won't hesitate to add them to my collection. Have you tried this brand? Which shade do you love?
Amazing colours! These polishes are pricey but they are HG for the polishaholics, right? :D
ReplyDeleteThey are totally worth it!
DeleteGlad you're feeling better... gosh, these are gorgeous! I'm really feeling the tiny glitters. I like your new banner, btw!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much (for all the compliments!) :D
DeleteSaint George looks divine! All your swatches are so gorgeous. I'll need to buy some - believe it or not I still don't have a single bottle from this brand!
ReplyDeleteEven though you didn't get that job, don't worry - keep your hopes alive! There's probably something way better in your future. :) I wish you the best! Hope you can find something that you're good at, but that you are also very passionate about.
Thank you! I often have a hard time with glitters/holos. I was pretty happy with how these came out. These are my firsts too, don't feel too bad, lol!
DeleteThank you, that's so nice of you, I hope so to!
