Yesterday, I reviewed the Lace Sleek Blush by 3 (here) and today I have part two: Pumpkin!
When Sleek first introduced their By 3 blush palettes I was pretty excited. Sleek makes great blush, so having three all in one compact palette seemed like a pretty great idea. Initially they were limited to one particular store, a European store, making it seem unlikely I'd ever get my blush loving hands on one. But, the Sleek folks must have had a change of hearts, because they ended up offering them for sale on their website. Score! I scooped two. Can you ever, truly have too many blush options?
The palette is a heavy feeling, durable plastic with a full mirror inside and a good closure. I've dropped mine (and a Sleek eyeshadow palette) and had no damage at all. Sleek knows how to make a great, durable palette. Inside, you find three blushes, just a tad smaller than full size Sleek blush. A regular Sleek blush is 8g and sells for $5.99 while the By 3 is 20g and sells for $12.49.
Sleek Blush by 3 'Lace' L-R: Lantern, Squash, and P Pie
Sleek Blush by 3 'Lace' L-R: Lantern, Squash, and P Pie
The Lace palette contains a shimmer shade: Lantern, a satin shade: Squash, and a matte shade: P Pie. The shades range from red coral, pink, and orange and all lean on the brighter side.
Lantern is a shimmering red-coral. The shimmer is very fine and adds a bit of a glow to the finish. I find this shade to a bit too red toned for my liking, but it is still a very pretty shade. Sheered out it does read more coral than red. Coral fans would like this shade.
Lantern is a bright pink with a satin finish. This is a universal pink, that will flatter anybody regardless of tone. It looks quite bright in the pan, but when worn it's a really pretty pink flush. The stain formula makes it super smooth and easy to work with.
P Pie is a matte orange. This is a true orange. It is quite pigmented and a light touch is necessary. The matte finish isn't chalky or hard to work with.
The shades are all nicely pigmented and wear quite well. I find mattes never last as long as other formulas, but I get about 4-5 hours before fading. I like that these are such poppy summery shades, but I didn't have to break the bank for them. Overall, I like these! The quality is pretty great, and where else can you get three blushes, that you'll actually use and enjoy, for under $15? Have you tried these? What did you think?
Omgsh love all of the shades!! I am yet to own a Sleek product!
