I've been patiently waiting for these polishes since their initial release in the UK. That has to be one of the more frustrating aspects of blogging- seeing products from other countries you really want but can't get. Urg. But, the wait is over, and I'm a very happy camper. Actually, I'm not that big a fan of camping.... I'm a very happy polisher!
Maybelline Colour Show Polka Dots- Drops of Jade, Blue Marks the Spot and Clearly Spotted 7ml $3.99
Drops of Jade has a teal-y green semi-sheer jelly like base that is packed with black and white round and hex glitter of various sizes. Two coats.
Blue Marks the Spotted has a cornflower-like blue with a semi-sheer jelly like base with black and white round and hex glitter of various sizes. Two coats.
Both of the shades with coloured bases are best applied using a dabbing motion as opposed to the typical brushing technique since there is a lot of glitter in these and you'll end up just dragging it off. I haven't shown these with topcoat, but you'll definitely want one as these do have a bit of an uneven texture (thanks, glitter) and dry to a semi-matte.
Clearly Spotted has a clear base that is packed with the same black and white round and hex glitter found in the other shades. This was the polish I was most excited for as it has so many possibilities. This is a really great topper because there is a ton of glitter in it so you don't have to apply multiple coats. Shown is one coat over OPI Steady as She Rose. I love it!
Overall, you really can't go wrong with these! There are two other shades available- Dotty, which has an orange base and Pretty in Polka, which has a pink base. Have you tried these yet?
P.S I have a few spots left if you're interested in advertising your blog. Read here for more info.
