the body shop camomile waterproof eye & lip makeup remover and sumptuous cleansing butter

Have you ever noticed that after to place an order somewhere you notice a slew of things you would ordered too but didn't see? Please tell me I'm not the only one who has that issue. I've just been on The Body Shop site and now have a wish list as long as my arm- Brazil Nut Body Butter (better add the scrub too), Vitamin E Cool BB, Absinthe Hand Butter, new Coconut Eau de Toilette... I could go on.

Of course I had to spot all these new things after my order arrived... Le sigh. That won't hinder my excitement though, as I'm completely smitten the two new items from their Camomile range that I recently picked up. I can honestly say that I haven't been this excited about taking off makeup in quite some time. Read on to find out why!

This efficient makeup remover lifts away the most stubborn waterproof eye and lip makeup.
  • Removes waterproof mascara and lipstick
  • Gently removes all traces of make-up
  • Fragrance, colour and alcohol-free
  • Suitable for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers

I don't wear much waterproof mascara, mainly because it can be a pain to remove. So many removers claim to be able but just don't bring it. So far, this one brings it. I say so far, because I haven't been able to test this with actual waterproof mascara- I don't currently have one- but it has worked wonders on my toughest, longest wearing mascaras and liners. This easily removed multiple coats of MUFE Smokey Extravagant Mascara, which isn't water proof, but might as well be it's so sturdy, and waterproof liquid liner without any tugging or fighting.

I used this on a cotton pad, let it sit on the eye for a moment and then gently wiped. It melts makeup off without irritating eyes or leaving you with trippy vision. All good things.

This Cleanser is an indulgent makeup-remover for the whole face. It gently and efficiently melts away makeup and impurities, leaving skin feeling clean, refreshed, and pampered.

  • Leaves skin feeling clean and petal-soft
  • Removes all types of makeup
  • Suitable for sensitive skina and contact lens wearers

Oh. My. This is what I was the most excited about trying. There are a handful of brands that have cleansing balms, but they're all quite pricey and I just wasn't quite ready to splurge on something I didn't know I'd like. It is an odd feeling at first as this kind of feels like you're applying lip balm to your whole face. Once you get used to that though, it's ah-mazing how well this cleanser works.

The butter is housed in a large, flat tin and looks much the same as a giant lip balm. When you first dip into the product it's firm, but soft and warms to the heat of your fingers. It has a faint fresh, floral scent that was really nice but not bothersome.

I was surprised by how little I needed to cleanse my entire face and eyes. This removes mascara like a pro, along with a full face of other products and is simply amazing. I used as muslin cloth to wash off the cleanser and was left with not only super clean skin but also amazingly soft skin. I honestly can't say amazing enough- this is just that great! Anyone who wears makeup has to try this. It's a game changer!

Overall, I enjoy both of these products, but it's the cleansing butter that really takes the cake. Both products are currently included in the buy two, get one offer so it's a great time to try them. Have you tried these yet? What's your favourite type of makeup remover?
