Calvin Klein Endless Euphoria Eau de Parfum

I think I'm in a bit of a mood today. Not a full on rip your head off mood, but I'm definitely not completely chipper. A lot of little things are really getting on my last never though. Like, why bother featuring nail polish on your blog if you're going to show in on wheels and then not even have close up shots? Insignificant things like that, you know? Something that does perk me up a bit though is a new scent, and I have to say I've been finding a lot that I love this Spring. One of such is the new addition to Calvin Klein's Euphoria family- Calvin Klein Endless Euphoria.

Mark No Place to Run Waterproof Eyeliner

mark no place to run waterproof liners

Once upon a time I would deal with a less than perfect eyeliner if it had a great colour, or if I had just bought, especially if I had just bought it and spent more than $15 on it. I would convince myself it wasn't all that bad- even if it totally was. I've come to learn life is just too short for crappy eyeliner. Agree? All that said, I was a bit hesitant when the new version of Mark No Place to Run Waterproof Eyeliners found their way to me. How do they fare? Read on!

NYC Big Bold Plumping Lip Gloss

The siren call of lip gloss... I know I have a hard time resisting it. While I do wear much more lipstick now, lip gloss was my first true beauty love and a hard habit to break. At least with a blog you can say the 28457th tube to make it's way home with you is all in the name of research, right? Right? Anyhow, the newest glosses to land on my desk are the NYC Big Bold Plumping Lip Glosses. Read on for the 411!

Twirl by Kate Spade Eau de Parfum

Twirl by Kate Spade eau de parfum (4)

Oh, Blogger *shakes fist* Did anyone else find that their photos were of lesser quality and strangely hued when they uploaded? It doesn't alter every photo, just one or two out of each batch. It's the strangest thing. But, back to the important things, like Twirl by Kate Spade. Yes, fragrance is important. How dare you even question it. I spotted Twirl on sale a few weeks ago and just had to bring it home with me. I wasn't sure what it actually smelled like, but I remembered the cute little bottle and that was enough for me. It was one of those days, you know? Read on to see if it was a worth while bargain...

    A England Ballerina Collection

It's Monday. I'm tired and ick feeling- a cold, maybe?- I'd like tea but am so not feeling the effort required to make it. What a whiner I am... It's not all bad news, I did get to spend a little time editing photos of the gorgeous holographics that make up the A England Ballerina Collection. It's a collection I initially decided I could live without. I obviously came to my senses and picked it up. Get ready to want it too!

OPI Sheer Tints | Swatches & Nail Art

OPI Sheer Tints- Amberassed, Magentale, Violet, and Teal (2)

Today I finally got to play with a bunch of nail polish that has been patiently waiting for me. Just sitting there on my desk. All alone, unloved. You see, I've been testing gel polish. It lasted remarkably well on me- something I'm not accustom to as polish doesn't last long on me- and forgot how often I usually do my nails. Out of the bunch I swatched today, OPI Sheer Tints get the prize for being the most fun. Read on!

    Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads

Radical Skincare Age Defying Exfoliating Pads (3)

I have a soft spot for exfoliators. Is that odd? Having a skin type that is prone to dullness is likely the cause, but really who can resist a little exfoliating action? It leaves your skin feeling all fresh and rejuvenated and such. If you're down with that then you might just like Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads. I'll just put it out there now- they're fan-freaking-tastic!

Book Review | DIY Dye by Loren Lankford

DIY DYE BY Loren Lankford (2)

I recently went from average dark brown hair to a much bolder shade of deep purple. It was something I'd kind of wanted to do -yes, only kind of- for a while but was just a bit scared. I had all of my supplies, but was lacking the push to just go for it. I ended up going for it with the help of a friend who has just become a hairdresser. Normally all of my colouring is self done, I've always figured that was something I do myself- because I'm awesome, obviously. That said it's usually just a box dye which doesn't really take much skill. For those of you who have been thinking of going a bit brighter or even just that little bit out of the ordinary DIY Dye by Loren Lankford might just be the book for you.

    Avon Eye Dimensions Eyeshadow

    Avon Eye Dimensions Eyeshadow (2)

When Avon releases new eyeshadows I have to two responses- 'Yay, new eyeshadows!' because, well, I like eyeshadows. 'Nuff said. And 'ugh, but they're Avon...' You see, Avon doesn't always have the best track record with eyeshadows. Sometimes they're awesome and sometimes... well, less than awesome. You know? I've been using the Avon Eye Dimension Eyeshadows and have to say there is absolutely nothing to worry about. These are pretty amazing!

    Dippity-Do ColourPop #MyInnerPopStar Contest & Giveaway

Dippity Do #myinnerpopstar contest and giveaway (3) copy

Ah, coloured hair... It's something that I've struggled with for years. You see, having naturally black hair makes the whole deal a bit difficult. Up until last week I was an at-home boxed dye type of girl, and with those you never really know what colour you're going to get when applied over dark hair.

I've been toying with the idea of going bold but was never really sure if it would work. With the help of a hairdresser friend, I took the plunge and dyed my hair purple. Completely purple. The shade ended up being a fuchsia-ish purple, but still. It's bold and I love it! Now, not everyone is going to want to commit to a bold shade for the long haul. I get that, and the hair minded folks at Dippity-Do know that and have the answer to your conundrum in their ColourPop Temporary Hair Colour Powders. Read on to see how you can release your inner pop star and win a set of ColourPops!

Nail Polish Storage | Mini Edition

polish storage- mini edition anchor hocking 1 gallon jar

I love Pinterest- don't look at me like that, you probably do too. One of my favourite things about it is that there are so many easy things that make life easier, better, prettier... I could go on. I have seen some pretty ingenious things thanks to Pinterest. Anyway, I'm always on the hunt for cute storage ideas and have come to love the look of nail polish collections stored in big glass jars. The problem is, I have waaay too many polishes for that. It took me longer than I'd like to admit, but I eventually thought of a soultion- minis!

The Sitota Collection | Petit Excursion Candle Quartet

Sitota Collection Petit Excursion Candle Quartet (3)

I've never really been able to pin point why, but I love candles. I was about twelve when I got my first candle and was absolutely thrilled that my parents were brave enough to let me burn it in my room.
There is just something so nice about a burning candle, especially a delightfully scented candle; it's just so cozy and comforting. Given that, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the Petit Excursion Candle Quartet from The Sitota Collection. Plus, it's nice to take a little beauty break every now and then.

    Vichy ProEven Skincare Range

Oh, Sunday... I always think you will be the best day to get SO MUCH DONE, but that never seems to be the case. I had planned on organizing the ever growing pile o'crap on my bedroom floor... well, it's not crap, but it definitely needs to go someplace not on the floor, you know? I got side tracked though. I was just supposed to be clearing off my desk, but before I knew it I was taking photos and playing with makeup. The most fun type of sidetracked, but still not what I was supposed to be doing. Oh well, it did set me up nicely for this post- yes, there is a point in this ramble- The Vichy ProEven range including the ProEven Brightening Cleansing Foam, Daily Dark Spot Corrector and Daily Eye Corrector. Maybelline Colour Sensational High Shine Gloss

Maybelline High Shine Gloss- Almond Crush and Electric Shock (7)

I broke my own rule, and it was totally worth it! That rule was no more lip gloss. A few weeks ago I did a lip gloss and lipstick clear out because I was overrun with them. It was tough, as it hadn't been that long since the last clear out, but it had to be done. My friends quite liked it though. Anyway, I decided it was necessary to cut out all lip related spending for a while and enjoy what I have. I was doing pretty well until I read a review of the Maybelline Colour Sensation High Shine Glosses. I just couldn't resist. Read on for a look at Almond Crush and Electric Shock.

Mary Kay Complexion Corrector Cream (aka CC Cream)

Mary Kay Complexion Corrector Cream  (3)

It's still Winter- I doubt you needed to be informed...- but I've already made the switch to lighter, hydrating foundations and bases. I find I much prefer something lighter for everyday so BB creams, tinted moisturizers and CC creams come in handy. The CC cream I've currently been smitten with is new for Spring 2014 and comes from none other than Mary Kay. Read on!

    Primer Party | Face Edition

    primer party

Yesterday whist doing what it is I do at my vanity before bed- apply my lash growth serum because I'm too blind without my glasses to do it in the bathroom mirror- and I got to thinking about primers. An odd thing to ponder, perhaps, but mildly useful. I say mildly because face primers aren't something I can deem all together useful or at the very least something I frequently use. That said, I do have a modest collection and thought a little compare and contrast might be in order. Read on!
