Coca-Cola by OPI Collection Swatches

Nail post number two on Unofficial Nail Thursday, is a collection I was surprisingly looking forward to. I say surprising because I'm not a Coke drinker. I fall on the other side of the spectrum and am a Pepsi person- and don't even try and tell me it's the same thing. Anyway, the idea of a Coke inspired collection is cute and if anybody is going to do it right it's going to OPI. Read on for swatches of Sorry I'm Fizzy Today, A Grape Affair and Orange You Fantastic! from the Coca-Cola by OPI Collection.

coca-cola by opi swatches- sorry i'm fizzy today

Sorry I'm Fizzy Today is a warm, creamy pink, with a slight melon tone, inspired by Vanilla Coke. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to pinks, but I love this shade! The formula was a very thin, and fluid, and the first coat made my nails look quite ridged considering ridges aren't normally an issue for me. While this did build nicely, it took three coats to get there.

Orange You Fantastic is an interesting blend of yellow, red, orange and gold glitter in suspended in a sheer orange base, inspired by Orange Fanta. The shade seems like your basic glitter in the bottle, but it's a little more interesting as it dried with a textured finish. I wasn't sure this would/could build to opaque, but three thin coats pretty much covers all visible nail line.

A Grape Affair is a deep, blackened purple with a hint of blue, inspired by Grape Fanta. This shade doesn't look all that unique in the bottle, but one the nail it is stunning! The formula is great- two shown, but it's almost a one coater.

Overall, I think this is a fun collection with really wearable shades. I'm looking forward picking up a few of the others, particularly You're So Vain-illa and Today I Accomplished Zero. Are you a Coke fan? A fan of any of these shades?
