Equitance Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 36

Sunscreen should be part of your everyday routine by now *hint, hint* but if it's not, it should at very least make an appearance come warmer, sunnier months. But seriously, save yo' skin and get slathering that stuff on the daily. Finding a good sunscreen for the body is usually pretty easy- check this post out if you need some suggestions- but the face, well, that can be a little bit trickier. I look for a formula that's lightweight, non-greasy, wears well under makeup, and doesn't break me out. Oh, and moisturizing, if possible. Is that too much to ask for? Equitance doesn't seem to think so. They offer up an impressive formula that protects and perfects skin. Read to find out why I've been loving Equitance Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 36.

I know what you might be thinking 'Oooh, what's Equitance?' Yes? Well, it's a Japanese brand, founded 18 years ago on the quest of uncovering the mysteries of radiant beauty. Fast forward to today, and the brand is known for their skincare products that use botanicals and clinically proven technology (an exclusive blend of herbs and antioxidants Vitamins C & B6 which provides nutrition while supporting overall wellness) to brighten the skin. You might know I'm a sucker for brightening products. Thus, my interest was piqued.

Equitance Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 36 combines the Equitance brightening and moisturizing complex with sunscreen- but, wait, it does more! That's right, it's also a makeup primer. It almost sounds too good to be true, but it's kind of amazing. The formula is incredibly thin, but it smooths skin, feels completely weightless, and has no weird, sticky 'I'm sunscreen!' feel (you know the one.) The formula contains mineral and chemical sunscreens to protect skin from UV rays and environmental stressors (aka free radicals) which can seriously damage skin.

Overall, I'm a fan of this sunscreen! I haven't been using it long enough (about three weeks) to notice much in terms of brightening effects, but the formula is pretty impressive regardless. I imagine I should see some results, as the entire product range is based on skin brightening and contains alpinia speciosa leaf extract (aka shell ginger extract) as a key ingredient. It's a botanical known to be intensely moisturizing and brightening. I love that this is so lightweight on skin wears so comfortably. The only downside, is that is is recommended you re-apply after two hours if you're in direct sun exposure. I tend to avoid the sun, so it's not an issue for me,  but still worth noting. Do you have a favourite sunscreen for your face? Tried this? Want to?
