I love shimmers, glitters, textures, mattes, jellies, cremes... Almost every polish finish is welcome on my nails, except... Crackles. I think they've died off though (crosses fingers.) Oh, and bar glitter. I don't hate it, I've just never been able to get all that exited about it. Bar glitter (or hairy glitter as I like to call it) is the main component of the new Avon Metallic Fringe top Coat collection. While bar glitter isn't my first choice, I kind of like some of these colour combos. Read on for a closer look!
Frayed Edges combines silver and white bare glitter in a clear base. I found the formula for all of these to be really easy to apply as you can easily get a good amount of glitter to base ratio. One dabbed on coat over OPI My Car Has Navy-Gation*.
Fringed & Frayed combines soft gold and white bar glitter in a clear base. One coat over Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Sugar Fix.
Tasseled Trim combines indigo and silver bar glitter in a clear base. One coat over OPI Alpine Snow.
Jacquard Metal combines blue and gold bar glitter in a clear base. I really love this colour combo over nude. One coat over Essie Topless & Barefoot.
Fringe Effect combines black and gold bar glitter in a clear base. Another combo I ended up kind of loving. One coat over Orly Pure Porcelain.

Overall, these aren't too bad. I'm still not the biggest bar glitter fan, but I do like Jacquard Metal and Fringe Effect as a fast way to add a bit of oomph to pinky-nude shades. What do you think? Are you a fan of bar glitter?
