I've realized this week is very skincare-centric... I'm not too sure what I was thinking when I scheduled things, but we're going on a skincare adventure again. Today it's all about Neutrogena and their options for clear, happy skin. With options for every bit of you (literally, head-to-toe) there is something for every acne issue you might be facing. Plus, some have a really great grapefruit scent- I'm hooked on the scent! Read on!

Cleansing, an obvious essential, and a great place to start. When it comes to Neutrogena cleansers I immediately think of this classic orange Oil-Free Acne Wash. The cleanser has an oil and alcohol free formula that features 2.0% salicylic acid to deep clean skin but without being overly drying. The cleanser works to penetrate down to pores to prevent breakouts by removing excess oil and surface buildup (aka dead skin, dirt, makeup... you get the idea. The cleanser has a light foaming action and does leave skin feeling really clean but not tight or dry.

Treating breakouts (and by that I mean the actual spot) can be tricky. I've found that some spots can be much more stubborn than others. Give the little hellions the heave-ho with the Rapid Clear Spot Gel for Acne-Prone Skin. The tube is small, but I've found the formula to be pretty mighty. The gel-cream utilizes
2.0% salicylic acid as the main acne fighter and boasts visible results in four hours. Colour me skeptical, but I used the treatment on a breakout (a painful, welt like thing developing on my jawline) and was incredibly impressed that it reduced the size and severity to almost nothing overnight. Results make me happy and this certainly delivered.

Acne-prone skin can often be oily, but that doesn't mean you get to skip moisturizer. I'm sure you knew that. Instead, opt for something designed for your skin type, like the Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer Pink Grapefruit. The lightweight moisturizer is water-based and formulated with 0.5% salicylic acid to aid in the good fight (aka banishing breakouts) and naturally derived pink grapefruit extract for an uplifting scent. The light texture absorbs easily, leaving skin feeling smooth and lightly hydrated with no residue. I tend to have drier skin, and while I still need something richer at night, the formula is enough to get me through the day.

As I mentioned, Neutrogena has you covered head-to-toe. To get every last bit of your lovely self safeguarded from annoying breakouts, the Body Clear Boy Wash Pink Grapefruit is a great option. Formulated with salicylic acid, 100% natural derived grapefruit extract, and Vitamin C the body wash cleanses, smells great, and treats and prevents new breakouts. The formula is gentle and non drying,  while being the easiest way to prevent body acne (think back, shoulders, and chest.)

Overall, some great options that are not only effective, but also don't break the bank. I haven't had a lot of experience with Neutrogena products, but since testing these I can say I'm a fan. The spot treatment will definitely be a got-to when the need arises. Have you tried any of these products? Do you have any Neutrogena favourites?
