OPI Infinite Shine | Spring 2016

OPI Infinite Shine Spring 2016 (2)::: press sample / affiliate links :::

Nail polish twice in one week? You bet. OPI has been on a roll lately, and have introduced eight new shades in their Infinite Shine range. If you're not familiar (where have you been?) it's OPI's answer to the non-gel gel polish craze that offers up longer lasting polish and gel-like shine. It's easy to remove and apply (no lamp required) and it does in fact wear that much longer than your average nail polish. I've wear tested it here should you want a more detailed account and a full rundown of the system. Read on for a closer look at the new shades!

It's Pink P.M. is a pale pastel pink cream. I expected the worst from this shade, as the Infinite Shine shade formulas can run a bit fickle. Luckily, this wasn't too bad, although did suffer from drag marks and bald spots really easily. I ended up needing three thin coats for an even coverage.

OPI Infinite Shine Half Past Nude

Half Past Nude is a nude blush pink cream that is soo very pretty, and should suit most skin tones. The formula is a bit thick and slow to self-level, but easy enough otherwise. Two coats.

OPI Infinite Shine Rose Against Time

Rose Against Time is a bright, bubble-gummy pink cream. It's not the most unique shade, but is happy and fun. The formula is on the thinner side, but opaque with two coats.

OPI Infinite Shine Sunrise to Sunset

Sunrise to Sunset is a creamy orange, with the slightest peach lean. I feel like this shade has popped up in a few different representations this season, but I'm really feeling it. This shade had one of the easiest formulas and wasn't prone to dragging and streaking. Two coats.

It's Familiar Terra-tory is a coral kissed red cream with a super easy gong formula. Two coats.

Don't Provoke the Plum! is a red based, medium depth plum. It's another easy going shade with an easy flowing, pigmented formula. Two coats.

OPI Infinite Shine Olive for Green

Olive for Green is an interesting deep, olive tinged green. It's a but of an ugly-cute shade, but I quite like it. Another easy formula. Two coats.

OPI Infinite Shine Reach for the Sky

Reach for the Sky is a cool, dusty blue cream, and it's amazing! I really love this shade and have worn it a few times already. The formula is a bit thick, but otherwise applies pretty well. Two coats.

All in all, I'm liking these new additions! Reach for the Sky, Olive for Green, and Half Past Nude are my top picks, but you really can't go wrong with any of these shades. Polish hoarders likely have some dupes lurking around though as some aren't super unique (ahem, Rose Against Time...) What do you think? Need any of these shades in your life?
