Shaking it up a little today.... with foundation! I can't remember the last time foundation has graced IKATW, but it's been some time. I've been happily chugging along with my current

You could even call it the anti-foundation foundation. The Water Blend formula is as weightless as you're going to get (it feels like nothing on skin.) Sure, the ultra-liquid foundation formula has been done, but none are quite like this one.
"Comprised of 80% pro-vitamin B5 infused water, WATER BLEND maintains the skin’s hydration and blends smoothly for light coverage with a natural glow. Coated micro-fine pigments even skin tone and deliver long-lasting, waterproof, transfer-proof finish in one stroke. The result? Skin looks smooth, healthy and flawless, with no touch-ups required."
Available in 20 shades, with a formula said to suit all skin types, the Water Blend formula gives skin a naturally perfected look without being heavy or looking like makeup. In my experience, MUFE does foundations impeccably, but the Water Blend takes it to the next level. It should be said that if you need a lot of coverage, this is not the foundation for you. This offers sheer-light coverage. It's easily build able in areas where you need a little extra, but it's not going to reach medium or full coverage.

What makes this formula a stand out for me (an my drier skin) is that this doesn't dry down to a matte finish like most liquid foundations. The formula is made up of 80% purified water that's infused with pro-vitamin B5, glycerine, and mango butter to provide hydration and lock in and maintain it throughout the day. I've been testing this throughout some very warm weather, so my skin isn't as dry as it normally is, but I've still found this to be hydrating without an overly dewy finish. It holds up well in hot/humid weather without breaking down or disappearing on skin. It's especially great as a summer foundation as it's both water and transfer-proof, meaning it stays on your face. You can sweat and blot all day if need be without disturbing your base.
As mentioned, there are 20 shades available. Of those, I was sent R210 (Pink Alabaster), Y225 (Marble) and R250 (Beige Nude). My skin runs neutral, but MUFE only offers pink (indicated with R in the shade name) or yellow (Y) options. As such, I find the red/pink shade match me best, although, as this formula runs sheer in coverage you have a bit of wiggle room when picking your shade. I am able to use R210 just as well as R250 with the former being a hair darker and more pink in tone.
Overall, this is a stand out foundation for me. I tend to reach for lighter formulas anyway, so the sheer/light coverage is perfect for day-to-day wear. A bit of concealer makes up for any flaws that show through. What do you thinks? Tried it or want to? What's you current go-to foundation?
