It's finally starting to feel a little spring-y, and with warmer weather comes the spring-summer makeup. You know it- the peaches, corals, warm bronzey things (all the things). Taking inspiration from the far horizons of the desert, Sothys Desert Chic Collection brings warm, sunny hues to bring out your inner adventurer. I have a few pieces from the collection, so let's get to them!

The Rose des Sables Eyeshadow Pencil looks like an unassuming beige shade in the tube, but swipe it on and you're greeted to a shimmering beige champagne shade. It's gorgeous! It makes a quick and simple eye look on it's own, but it also works perfectly as a primer, as it does set and lasts all day without creasing and fading. The pencil has a sharpener in the end so you can take it back to its original sharp tip for lining needs.

No summer collection is truly complete without bronzer, for which Sothys has offered up the quatrefoil patterned Sunny Landscape Bronzing Powder. With a vanilla and floral scent (it reminds me or gardenia a little bit) the powder has a matte light milk chocolate hue and matte finish. The universally faltering shade adds warmth to skin, but isn't too warm toned and will actually suit most.

Lips get washes of sunny colour with Tangerine (orange-peach) and Sanguine (red-coral) Lip Lacquer. The gloss-lipstick hybrid formula offers up a glossy finish but with a non-sticky, easy wearing cream formula. It's got the perfect amount of pigment and wears well for about 4-5 hours (when not eating) leaving a bit of a stain.

All in all, a pretty amazing little collection, but in my experience, Sothys never disappoints. The Sothys Desert Chic Collection is currently available at Sothys beauty consultant locations across Canada.
